What we need now is to get a good media contract. If we can get our contract done before the pac-o-worms it might help. I remember when the b12 got their contract done ahead of the original pac12 they really benefitted. Gloria, it's media contract time. Get us a good one.

I think the adds were pushed by media partners so we should see numbers quick.

Should we do the same??

On the other side, I have a friend who played on the line at Arizona State who is in his mid 50's and has had both knees replaced and has to walk with braces due to the number of times people took his knees out from under him before many of the current rules that no longer allow things like chop blocks!
It’s a violent sport. Not that I don’t care about your friend but construction workers experience a variety of job-related ailments from their duties. As do the military. Boxing. MMA. The list goes on…

But they all know what can happen from their involvement in their various fields.

I hope your friend is ok.

No, UC Davis has so much more potential than Sac State and they share the same market, I believe. I would rather UC Davis move their football program up and expand their stadium. Then, the Pac whatever can have sac state. Texas State, Toledo and (if it could be worked out) Liberty would add three more bowl quality programs. I keep pushing Liberty as they pay theor head coach > 3 million per year. They will be competitive. Then, maybe look at adding St. Marys for basketball.
The problem with Liberty is that they are located in Virginia which is much further away than any other school on the mainland. NIU is 1,700 miles away while Liberty is almost 2,300 miles away.

I did note that they have over 10K more students than Sac State.

While at OK State, Barry Sander have another RB that was his partner. Thurman Thomas I believe who was equally impressive. Sanders did not have to shoulder all the running at OSU.
Barry's Heisman year was Thurman's rookie year in the NFL. Barry had 350-ish carries (not counting the bowl game). He shouldered the entire load in 1988,

Barry had to sit and watch Thurman his sophomore year for a lot of it. In today's game Barry would have transferred.

The argument that he ISN'T Barry Sanders in comical to me. Of course he isn't, lol. Barry had the best college season of all time, and I personally think he is the GOAT of RBs.

Jeanty did have the best season SINCE Barry Sanders, which is pretty remarkable in itself. There have been many RBs that won the Heisman that didn't get anywhere the production Jeanty had this year.

Maybe we should finish of with Sac State to leave nothing for the PAC.

He is no Barry Sander, if he try to power his way threw the defenders' arm in the NFL...he is gonna in the IR more than he is on the field.

Living in Houston, the Aziz AL Shaair has been a big topic of discussion. Players like Mahomes have been doing a fake slide to take advantage of the rules.
Now Aziz went a little far with his hit on Trevor Lawrence, extended his elbow through the head. But for argument's sake, take the forearm out of the play, and his hit wasn't terribly late.
QBs have been purposely waiting as long as they can to slide, and they are getting hit.
I think a fake slide should be a penalty and potentially a suspension. It is hurting the safety of the game and we need to punish those that exploiting the rules.
Personally I think that if you want to be a ball carrier, then be a ball carrier. As soon as you pass the line of scrimmage the rules should be the same for everyone. If you slide late, and the defender starts his tackle before your slide, that's YOUR bad. Protect yourself better bro.
I am a bit old school myself. Somewhat like Rugby, hanging your WR out to dry was it's own risk. If you don't want your WR to get hurt, don't throw it over the middle.
I think a play on the ball should be allowed, and obvious hit to the head is uncalled for as well.
