Sluka NIL question

I would need to see what the NIL contract says. My initial guess is no. NIL is name, image. and likeness. Each party benefitted from the transaction. Player gets paid and company gets to use their NIL in advertisements, parties, get togethers, fairs, carnivals etc. Each party benefitted from the transaction. It's a slippery slope if players get sued because they didn't get the return they had anticipated.

They can be dangerous, but I’d love to find out the team had a players only meeting

' if there is a pro-Sluka crowd in the locker room, but if there is, '

Based on the Tweeter App and player tweeters there is not.
Wasn't there a montage on the last episode of the Reb Zone about players saying they love Sluka? I didn't see it.
Dude was a warrior, I am sure he had friends on the team.
But turning your back like this typically sours relationships.

RB Michael Allen leaving as well

Good. Go hide in Sluka’s ass, or his dads. Your choice. Next man up…..
I don't get the hate with this one. HE expected to play, he didn't, he has one more year of college football. HE should be able to end his career playing on the field.

I'd give anything to go back for one last season as the sexiest libero in D2 volleyball.

Exactly! We all know true freedom loving Americans only drink water from a hose! Bubbled water is for commies, French people and kickers.
Dude. Vegas hose water after a good afternoon playing in the hot LAs Vegas sun because your parents kicked you out and told you not to come home until the reruns of M*A*S*H* started was de.lish.us.

There was always the dumb kid who would forget the first 25 seconds of hosewater was 350 degrees. dummy.

I remember being 11-12 years old and my parents would give us $20 to go see a movie. We would ride our bikes from Gowan and Jones (ish) to the Redrock Theaters. Parents were bonkers back then. We'd movie hop and hope to get into a rated R movie.

How do you take a deal and not sign a contract before enrolling? Business 101
What an idiot. And he got a degree?
This whole NIL thing is confusing. It's not really well defined, and is different from state to state it seems. Some saying you can't have an agreement in place until your on campus, others saying that's not true. IDK. I'm not even sure if the universities know exactly how it all works. Leaves a lot to be desired which will definitely result in confusion and misunderstandings between the schools/NIL/players.

UNLV Exploring Options After USU Joins PAC

Ok so let me ask this.

Why is the conference not already dissolved?

We are at 7 technically 6 with Hawaii as football only.

I get that the conference is intact for another year.

However in 2026 we no longer even qualify for a conference. Couldn't an argument be made that with media rights, scheduling etc UNLV and the rest of the remaining schools should be allowed to leave based on the uncertainty?

Say UNLV and AF toe the line.

There is absolutely no guarantee that the MWC and it's commissioner are going to even be able to fill the remaining empty spots for the MWC to even qualify as a conference.

In that scenario UNLV would be screwed right? A free agent who's only opportunity would be to go independent.

I know there are basically two camps to this. Get the Hell out of MWC now and stay put and collect the money.

I recognize the risks involved in both and the potential benefits in both.

I don't think this would happen but let's say MWC is unable to attract any new members? What then?
PAC got down to 2, and were still a conference, they have a 2 year window. THe MW has a 4ish window as of now.

UNLV Exploring Options After USU Joins PAC

Sorry buddy, you say 2 different things in successive posts. You sure you didn't come from my Board and assume a different handle? :) :)

And semi related, there were basically no exit fees for the Pac traitors because the media contract had expired. I still am not quite sure how we wrangled the $65M from them.
They announced leaving and played out an entire season. That is 1 season season of a contract, right?
It was also a record year for the pac 12 with each team receiving 37 million dollars ( not just media rights).

The MW is in the same boat, except it is 2 years away, not one. And that our contract is significantly less. But we don't have a contract beyond next season, just like you didn't have a contract beyond that final season.

Yes sorry I did say technically 2 separate things. I should have said "New PAC teams" instead of PAC. Excuuuuuuuuse me.

You still didn't answer my question. How much of YOUR post was pulled from your butt and how much was an actual report?
