Remember when any article about UNLV was for the bottom 5.

UNLV lost at #1 Michigan 35-7 and Liberty lost to #6 Oregon on a neutral field 45-6. UNLV didn't even win the MWC tournament. I think 2 or 3 teams in the MWC were better than Liberty last season. I believe whomever wins the MWC championship game is very likely going to make it into the national championship tournament.
It really depends. I don’t see a 3 or 4 loss MWC champ making it. Of course it depends on how the other G5 champs fare, but I’d be surprised if there aren’t some that only end up with 0-2 losses.

OT Movies 2024!!

I tried with whatever came out in the late 90’s, maybe the Phantom Menace or whatever. It was super lame, could have been because I was 30 as opposed to 15 with Jedi, but even with Jedi, was losing its luster for me. But loved the first two. Then again, I was 9 and 12. Appropriate age for Star Wars. As an adult, I thought they were garbage.
Bro, who wins in a fight..

Darth Vader vs Neo from the Matrix, pick one.

OT Movies 2024!!

Yupppow.com is the best free movie website of all time.

Currently watching Masters of the Air with my roommate. This series is god damn incredible.

At least that generation was hardcore. Flying in a B-17 while getting shot down by Germans.

At least that generation didn’t care about the participation trophies like some idiot physical therapist wannabe mod on Rebel-Net
**** yuppow. The movie crashed 30 minutes into the movie.

My roomate saw it and didn’t like it.

Being undefeated does help with the polls, but the CFB ranking system is a bit more than that..

"Unlike other polls, the College Football Playoff rankings come out only until well into the season. And unlike other polls, it's the only one that really matters, as it's for the 12-team playoff. For a decade, the CFP was only a four-team playoff. Starting with the 2024 season, it moved up to 12 teams. The CFP Selection Committee ranks its own top 25, using factors like strength of schedule, results, championships won, common opponents and more."

I'm sure the 2 polls will influence these rankings, but I doubt that Liberty gets back in it this year if there is a 2 loss team from the MW, maybe even a 3 loss team. The fact that they got curbstomped probably hurt them from repeating.

Not to say that a MW team in the same situation wouldn't also be curbstomped, but it seems like top MW teams have faired a little better than that when they have played top schools in the past.

ESPN 2024 player sleeper picks - DE Antonio Doyle Jr.

Forgot about this guy. I was really excited when he came over. Didn't realize he was originally recruited by Odom at Missouri. Love seeing our D, especially pass rush, getting stronger. I hope the young man has a break out year!

Antonio Doyle Jr., DE, UNLV Rebels

i

Class: Senior

Height/weight: 6-foot-3, 255 pounds

2023 stats (Jackson State): 11 games (10 starts), 44 tackles (16 solo), 5.5 tackles for loss, 4 sacks, 1 forced fumble, 1 fumble recovery

ESPN recruiting snapshot: Four stars, No. 108 overall, No. 10 outside linebacker, No. 3 in Missouri (signed with Texas A&M)

Rebels coach Barry Odom reunites with Doyle, who had committed to him at Missouri before Odom was fired. Doyle instead went to Texas A&M, where he played sparingly before transferring to Jackson State. He finished second on the team in sacks last fall and could help a UNLV defense that didn't have anyone record more than three sacks last season.

Coach's take: "Pass rush, he can be a special guy," Odom told ESPN. "He's kind of flying under the radar, people have forgotten. He was a top-100 recruit, had some growing up to do, but he's seen the light and he looks special. He's got a six-month mission to make it work."

It's not what they do now. The G5s are ranked in with the Top25. And the only G5s that climb up the ladder are unbeatens. Once they get beaten, it's bye Felicia to the top 25 almost every time. I mentioned a separate G5 poll which would basically be what you addressed.

I saw that Boise went with Madsen instead of Nelson as their QB1
Entire offseason spent building up their "5 star QB" transfer only for him to not be able to beat out the QB who was having a mediocre season and wasnt great in games against the bigger teams on the schedule... Now I know Boise fans will say Madsen is a good QB and he showed it in camp, or others will say they expect Nelson to eventually take over, but you dont go get Nelson if you had "the guy" already in house and jettisoned your other dual threat QB in Green...

I just want to know who our QB 1 is so I can sleep better at night, lol...

I think UNLV has a strong enough schedule that they could lose to Kansas and still end up in the top 25 this next season.

Keylan Boone

Dont know if it is accurate or not but he isnt listed on the roster on UNLV's athletic website
He isn't going to be listed. From what I read he was originally denied another year, so Kruger already figured he was done and graduated, but it appears he was able to get another year which put him in a position to go into the portal for one more season. Per the article it appears UNLV will find a way to open a position if he ends up staying at UNLV, and then he would be added back if he decided to stay at UNLV for his final final year.
