Sluka Redshirting and Transferring

So from what I gather. Agent is saying UNLV NIL collective promised a large sum of money/car via handshake and didn't get anything in writing. Sluka went to collect and UNLV told him to kick rocks?

Sounds like he learned an important life lesson.

Agent is an idiot.
So does the agent get his percentage of the handshake deal? Plus, I heard the collective rep had his fingers crossed when the made the handshake so it didn't count.

Sluka Redshirting and Transferring

this conference stuff has had me almost done with the school in general…..wasn’t sure what to do and needed a sign, and this morning Slukunt quits because he’s either a piece of crap or we are….hahahahahahaha sign received
I'm not going to make an uninformed judgement. But, Coach Odom has a very good reputation. Look at the number of players followed him from other schools. To me, that shows loyalty. Additionally, we have a couple of All-Americans on the team, and there doesn't seem to be a problem with broken promises. Fact that Sluka's family went out and got an agent doesn't bode well for him. Technically a verbal is not a binding contract. Likewise, it wasn't Odom who promised him anything, it was an assistant coach (so they say). I find it far more plausible the he did get NIL money but was not satisfied when the team did well after the wins. Also, stories out there that Sluka went to Odom's office and demanded $300,000 more on Monday also sounds plausible. If he hadn't been paid the full $100,000 why would he up the ante?

The Inside Story on Sluka's Transfer

He went to the coach because the agent wasnt getting anywhere with the NIL collective. They figured Odom would call them up and tell them to get it done and just keep things moving. Someone over valued their position.
Does that mean he pays Odom to be his agent? All I’m hearing is that his agent was incompetent and missed on a lot of steps.

I suspect the team rallies behind Hajj this week and Fresno runs into a buzz saw...
Hajj was also much sought after. He can run the ball too. I don’t think he has that top end speed of the recently departed guy; but we’re trading like 10% top speed to add 70% throwing ability. Lets not pretend the other guy could consistently make passes.

Hajj had a 70.5% completion rate his senior year at Campbell over 329 passes (61.8% career overall). He can air it out AND run. I thought Hajj would win the nod at the start of the season.

So why did they say he went to Odom, when Odom didn’t make the “promise”? If I were Odom I would have told him to get back to practice too.
Their narrative does not make sense. Someone walks up to someone else and says, "Hey, your buddy promised me money from a third group. I expect you to see that they pay it, now!!??"

talk
It means “the f*ck?” And it’s been common term used for a very long time.

Side note: I’m one that will absolutely annihilate you even if we are on the same Rebel side. Shoot your best shot, or sit down and be quiet.

Again, same side right now. Your choice.

Spin... All spin... 6 months since February before season started to get it in writing and secured. Heck 3 months before you graduated, you couldve backed out and gone elsewhere. Thats on the agent.
Exactly. A verbal non-writing offer? And when was this supposed to be paid that he came here anyway without any money, at season's end?
