My uncle said they stock crappies in Lake Mead now?
There are actually some pretty cool technologies out there, including a device that uses the ocean waves to generate power. They could probably figure out a way to harness enough ocean power to provide the energy needed to desalinate the water. At least up to a certain point. Not enough to provide for all of LA's needs, but plenty to fill up reservoirs, etc.desalination they could do it. I dont know the nuances but im sure it would cost $ ,but long term it would be a HUGE benefit.
Got so attached to Woodard that I called him Woodson 🤣Absolutely, you became more attached to players. Now other than Woodson and RW it is rare to get that same attachment because here one day gone the next. We have Thomas here two years and it is a surprise to everyone. If Moses Scurry or Dickel or AM or MB walked by I would know who they are immediately. 4 years from now if Rishwain walks by I wouldn't be able to name him if you paid me.
They got the Fresno RB, right? I'm not sure if he's expected to be their #1, but I'd think so.Call me a hater, but I see a drop off in Boise coming due to the loss of their OC more than just losing Jeanty... losing that amount of experience and game planning isnt easily replaced and you cant just plug and play RBs thinking that they'll turn into Ashton.
70% of the water Saudi Arabia uses is from desalination and many other countries also use that process. Nobody has rejected desalination because of any hazards to fish and wildlifeThey have rejected desalination. The contention is the desalination plant raises the salt content in the ocean and could be a hazard to fish and other wildlife.
Only 2 of 13 Desalination plants in CA operable and that's because it's expensive AF. Then factor in delivery.desalination they could do it. I dont know the nuances but im sure it would cost $ ,but long term it would be a HUGE benefit.
Which makes the hypocrisy thick when they say they don't want UNLV for "academic reasons." Sure but you have no problem admitting the first team All American DL with the Blutarsky 0.1 GPA. Other than a small handful of schools like ND and BC few have many standards when it comes to academics.Cheating is too easy and ethical standards are low. Don’t ask, don’t tell, It’s just don’t get caught …. which, you have to be kind of lame to get caught. We don’t worry about academics anymore. Remember back in the day? Sometimes you’d hold your breath at winter break because somebody didn’t make the grade. Or you had to wait for second semester to start for Butler and Scurry to play against Iowa. Or waiting for Lou Kelly’s JC grades to post. Or Marcus Banks needing JC because of a credit that wasn’t taken.
We don’t worry about any of that. Everyone is eligible if they have a heartbeat.
Hasn’t anybody here ever logged on with the proper credentials and take a quiz for a kid? Just playing. And RebelLuv, please don’t do that for a player - we want them ELIGIBLE!

I was surprised to see Boise at 8. They had them ahead of other CFP teams SMU, Indiana, Clemson and Tennessee. Shows how close we were.We came in at #23!
What an amazing season!
Absolutely, you became more attached to players. Now other than Woodson and RW it is rare to get that same attachment because here one day gone the next. If Moses Scurry or Dickel or AM or MB walked by I would know who they are immediately. 4 years from now if Rishwain walks by I wouldn't be able to name him if you paid me.From 87, you knew who the funny guys were, you knew who the serious guys were. We just knew their personalities, we knew that Richard Robinson loved heavy metal. We knew El Hud was a showman. You just saw personality.
It’s not that current guys or past guys aren’t good dudes, but you just don’t know it. They’re short timers. You don’t have a chance to know them. They’re here, poof, they’re gone.
I really miss that part of the game. Camaraderie is so fleeting and without much depth because it takes time to develop. Between that and atmosphere at games, that’s what I miss the most and it makes the game unrecognizable from decades ago.
Or maybe control the bush and clear it?desalination they could do it. I dont know the nuances but im sure it would cost $ ,but long term it would be a HUGE benefit.
Call me a hater, but I see a drop off in Boise coming due to the loss of their OC more than just losing Jeanty... losing that amount of experience and game planning isnt easily replaced and you cant just plug and play RBs thinking that they'll turn into Ashton. We aren't even in consideration for ESPN's way too early to 25, they have Boise in theirs though.
I like your line of thinking. We just need more of these articles surfacing for the ACC looking for travel partners for Cal and Stanford and SEC looking for Western markets and box the Big 12 into adding us or "losing us" to one of these others, lol...
I wish we could do a reverse Nil for Rebels that make it 4-5 years and contribute heavily towards its success.Guys like Ballungay and Shanks are the rare exception. 4/5 year Rebels. There should be a a plaque with the names of these guys hanging in the Fertitta complex.
I agree. They might change seeding process but also after this years CFP, do you really want a bye week? Id argue Id rather have a full Allegiant stadium as the G5 champion reward and then play the next games in whatever Bowls are there...I think the only tweak we see next year is to revamp the seeding process, which I think is completely warranted.
Yeah it makes it hard to get real attached to a team as you are now rooting for laundry and not players. If we won a natty in basketball next year with an entirely new roster would it be awesome? Of course! But the same as 1990? No, not even close.Yes it was. It's crazy to think about, but we'll be looking at almost an entirely new team next year. No Ricky White, Woodard, Catalon, Baldwin, Oliver, Elad, Grimes, Doyle, Burrell, HM Williams, Mani Powell, Ballungay, De Jesus, Camac, Chittenden, Shanks, St. John,
We do still have (I think) McDuffie, Jet Thomas, Correa, etc, but a lot of the guys names that we were used to hearing this season will need to be replaced.
Agreed. Arizona and Cali get way more water than we get.I get angry when people post about the water crisis, and they post an image of Lake Mead and Las Vegas in order to get people to bash Las Vegas. We aren't the problem. We use very little of the water (.3 MAFY). California uses more than 14 times the amount of water (4.4 MAFY) our state uses. Even New Mexico (.85 MAFY) and Wyoming (1 MAFY) get more water from the Colorado river than we do.
MAFY= million acre-feet per year.
