IMO the best a conference like that could hope for is an auto bid to the expanded football playoffs.

Can see a handful grabbing the 10-16 seeds in the NCAAT, as well. They’re going to squeeze out what they can to allow more of their own.

I sure hope not.... I'd rather position ourselves to be the Big 12s West market and not the dying Pac 12

If the PAC gets their $31mil per media deal then life goes on, if not then they will get hit again for the next batch of 3 or 4 schools and shit will hit the fan. Other than SDSU the remainder of the MWC are just spectators.

Sounds like Colorado is out, if it’s not close to the 31 mil. They need the money to build the football program.

Arizona wants to go to be in the best basketball conference. They don’t want to go alone and be there first one to leave.

Utah doesn’t want anything to do with BYU.

Arizona st. president is focused on academics and prefers the Pac 12.

All that said there’s a core of schools that want to remain in the PAC mainly due to culture.

If the PAC deal is between 20-25 mil it will be good for UNLV. Them and Col. St are next in line if Zona and Colorado leave.
