SW winds today 20-30+ mph...I don't think the pitchers are going to be very happy campers....could be a 30+ run day today if they play....

i attended cmu for a semester before i transferred to unlv and my father and brother are cmu alums. my little brother attends cmu. word on cmu's campus is that this will be their best opponent of the season. they are giving us a lot of respect saying that unlv is an elite team.

i followed the baseball team really well from 2002-2006 attending almost every home game and many road games. is this team really going to be as good as the the team the year before buddy took over?

CMU doubled with 2 outs, then had a ball in the dirt-runner advanced to third and the catcher air mailed it to LF and the runner came home.

Game #2 today at 2:05pm. I'm not sure if they'll actually get the game in or not with the rainy weather. Hopefully it clears up but forecasts say differently.

Yea Game 2 (#3 of series) is always TBD start time. I think it's like 30-45 minutes after the first game ends.


Not sure exactly on the rule.

In the first a Rebel error puts a runner in scoring position and later then scores for CMU.

Rebels themselves take advantage of 2 CMU errors and jump on top with 2 runs.

3-1 Rebels actually!


Man on first and third with 2 outs. Runner on second goes the throw down to second is there but the runner stops halfway there. Runner from 3rd crosses home while the runner on second is in a pickle. I thought the run would count but it didn't on the scoreboard and the announcer said 2-1. They later added the run.


Sweet move by Chambers to steal a run and keep Higa batting (leading off next inning.

I was thinking to myself "Boy, this game is moving along pretty fast" and the announcers followed with "This game is moving along really fast with the new hurry up rule in place". I've noticed they get the team on the field and barely and warm up pitchers, they just go.

Besides the 3 run first, the Rebels haven't mustered up anything since. With the outfield play and the base path running, they don't like they showed up today at all.

Another error leads to a run for CMU. Worst game of the year for the Rebels for sure. Just super sloppy and sluggish.
