UNLV 2-1 for series v New Mexico

UNLV took apart New Mexico for the first time in 4 years to go to 9-3 with an 8-2 victory. New Mexico was ranked 29th by the composite baseball ratings and was on their way into the top 25. UNLV now needs to win two more to get a huge sweep.

UNLV in a pitching battle comes away with a 3-2 win. New Mexico had 2 outs with no one on in the bottom of the 9th and they got a man on first and 3rd. Under pressure UNLV pitcher Oakley caught the picture looking for a strike out to end the inning and win the game. That is winning under pressure. UNLV is sure to win the series for the first time in forever at New Mexico. UNLV has one more game Sunday for a sweep of New Mexico and first place in the conference.

UNLV now is 10-3 and could be looking at being ranked if they can sweep the series on Sunday.

It went to extra innings and UNLV made some mistakes in the bottom of the 12th to lose the final game 5-4. They came really close to a sweep of New Mexico and now have a 11-4 record which could move them into the top 25 and should get them at least some votes in the polls.

I to watched the game. This team is real deal. UNM is a good team and we went in and got 2 of 3. Go Rebs!
