UNLV opens as a 2 touchdown favorite. Hawaii has looked somewhat decent the last few weeks and playing on the island has traditionally been a tough spot for the Rebels. It should be an easy victory but it wouldn’t shock me if Hawaii kept it close for while.

If we can't get home and hit Schager often, I'm definitely concerned about the long ball.

Ray Brewer on that Sin City Beat show thinks that the Rebels could possibly drop this one. I'm not going to buy into that thought. Coming off a loss and a bye week we are going to be ready. If Schager wants to sling it then that's just more pick 6 opportunities for us. Travel to the Islands is always tough but, I'm going with the Rebels to win by several TD's.

Well, I mean, more times than not, UNLV/UH are wild ones that go down to the wire and are marked by controversial calls.

But that was when we sucked.

If the team wants to lay a giant egg in Hawaii, well, they aren’t who we thought they were and they’ll actually deserve the third tier bowl that they’d play in.

Not trying to be harsh here, just truthful.

Hawaii is solid defensively but not so good on offense. Hawaii game is always tough especially on the road.

I don't care what the final score is, just get the W.

SDSU has surpassed Reno on my hatred list.

It was them and Boise that were the catalysts for this whole realingment mess. It was their 'merics' UNLV didn't meet to get invited initially to the new PAC.

I want UNLV to do them like they did Fresno.

You don’t like how their presentation of UNLV TV eyeballs wasn’t recent, that it was cherry picked from the worst historic years of UNLV hoops and the (up until last year) always awful UNLV football?

I wish they’d have picked the Chodes so they could have imploded together.

My favorite rumor was 'UNLV'S lack of investment in athletics'.

Granted these things were gifted to UNLV but

30 million football facility.
Mendenhall Center
1 million dollar baseball clubhouse.
One of the highest paid coaches in the conference.

But OK sure go with that.

You and me both. This is the kind of stuff that happens under the watch of that person that loves their metrics.

Man I really don't want to go down this rabbit hole because it will derail this thread. But with NIL money and how disproportionate that money is male vs female athletes, you just knew this was going to happen at some point...

Male player X gets 100k Female player Y gets 20k in NIL.

'We play the same number of games therefore we should be compensated equally is inevitable.

You're right I won't throw any more fuel on that subject. But, it will get interesting when the athletes possibly/maybe become employees of the University rather than receive NIL directly.

That argument should be worth mentioning only when schools pay students themselves when that happens.

Even so, Caitlyn Clark made more last year(3.1 mil) than any men's basketball player this year.

So you get paid your worth. It is simple economics

Hawaii is 4-5 now, just beat Fresno at Fresno with 2 TD's in the 4th, much better team.
But UNLV is the 2nd best team in MWC, there is no reason not to finish this out with 4 and row at 10-2 and get good bowl game if they dont get Boise rematch.

Tell me this, how many would have said 3 years ago, UNLV is going to win 19 games in 2 year stretch in Football, not one of us.

I think this is way too many points. Travelling to Hawaii is already tough, and they have been playing pretty good ball recently, esepcially on defense. Beating Fresno in Fresno is something.

I think this is likely our toughest remaining regular season game this year. Being in Hawaii definitely contributes to this. But rivarly game, to a team that is playing as well as anyone not Boise or UNLV right now.

Hawaii is playing for a winning record, UNLV is playing for a major bowl game or going back to the MWC championship game with a shot at the playoffs. UNLV has two weeks to prepare. UNLV better win by 3 TD or more.

I don't think we lose, I just don't think we should be laying 2 touchdowns.

Boise @ Hawaii was no cakewalk. Hawaii was down 6 driving and actually had a chance to take a fourth quarter lead before Boise really opened it up.

The UCLA game was one Hawaii should have won but they choked it away at the end.

Look, we “should” win no problem but Hawaii has played well at home. I hope we start off fast but if not I wouldn’t be shocked if it’s a close game in the 3rd/4th.
