No Goldman "**** America" Sachs and no Sheldon "crybaby jackass" Adelson. Unless Adelson is playing a game to get more working Nevadans to kiss hi ass and worship him, the stadium deal looks to be dead and buried.

Screw the greedy scumbags! Let some other city buy that idiot Davis a stadium.
I’ve lived in this town way too long to have ever believed that NFL football was ever going to be a reality in Las Vegas. The animosity that organization has held for us runs very deep. I remember when they would ban the mere mention of our name during a promo or commercial. Their ruling barring the sportsbooks from televising their games was another punitive step .
Their hypocrisy was stunning. They treated us like we were the devil. How dare us take bets on their pristine sport? All the while making sure that the point-spread was prominently displayed in every paper in the land. They knew full-well that they would get a much smaller viewing audience were it not for the gamblers. Yet they always regarded us as the lowest of the low.
So, the notion that they would now suddenly warm to the idea of a team in Vegas never struck me as any more than a pipe-dream. If it hadn’t been the stadium deal falling through, it would have been something else. I didn’t for one moment believe the excitement around the city over this story would ever result in "The Las Vegas Raiders".
