The last couple times we had a midseason coaching change the team rallied and played better basketball once the change was made.
Both times the inspired play by the players created support for the interim coach. (which was totally unexpected before the coaching change was made).
Lets face it, we still have a STACKED roster. Will the sabotage continue just so people don't rally behind what we have in place? Is that why Todd Simon was named interim?
It would be my guess that is why Ryan Miller WAS NOT named interim coach.
Lets face the facts here. If we do end up getting to the NCAA tournament and maybe win a game or two, people are going to think "why make a change"?
I could have seen some players families (those who make themselves heard) making a big push for Ryan Miller to be retained and the interim tag removed. I could even see a "Noodles" type thing where they say, if Ryan is retained we will come back, if not we are going pro (or transferring).
