I know there is a new playoff format for next year.

If that format had been installed this season what would the playoffs have looked like this year?

I know it makes it easier/gives G5 schools a better chance to get in, I'm just not sure on all criteria.

Top 4 with byes
Georgia, OSU, Missouri, Penn St, Oregon, Ole Miss, FSU, that's 11 teams, I have to think about 12th, u had Liberty was unbeaten, then team with 2 or 3 losses if u don't want liberty?

I could be wrong, but I think a G5 has to be on the top 15 playoff rankings? So it may have been possible that no G5 would have qualified this year.

Can’t wait for this! I can’t believe it’s taken so long for them to move to this, they will make a fortune. Sadly the Bowl games will become more obsolete than they already have. At this point UNLV has to try and become the next Boise state and be the best of the G5 and sneak into the playoff with a little luck attached to it.
