Curious what the pulse is like. Great news is we started 4-1. Toughest stretch of the season coming up though. Next 5 games are rough. Traditionally UNLV would go 0-5. I don’t think we’ll do that, but we are talking about UNLV football so who knows…

I think every game is winnable from here on out. AFA and ND obviously are the two biggest doubt spots. I'll call them both losses. Hawaii and Reno I'll call both wins. That would be 6-3.

SDSU, SJSU, and Fresno... all winnable (fresno qb situation important). I'll call it 2-1.

8-4 I guess!

I predicted 8-4 before the start of the Season. So far so good I'm still feeling good about our chances. Some of the W's and L's might be interchangeable like SJST / Air Force or STDSU / Fresno.

Utah StW

San Jose StW

If we beat SJSU, we will beat AFA. The momentum is too strong to be halt at that point. IMO

I think we may be ranked higher in football than we have been in basketball the last couple years

The good news is that we played the triple option plays superbly.

The bad news is that UNM's starters aren't as good as AFA's JV team

UNLV will need to play it’s most discipline game to beat AF. Face masking a defeated QB on the way down on a 3rd down won’t win us a lot of games.

Isn’t AF at home? Thinking the boys will be focused more on AF than SJSU given how much respect AF is rightfully receiving. If we’re coming off a loss from SJSU we’ll be even more focused and pissed about having their first Conf L laid on them. Wouldn’t be surprised if we beat AF but lay an egg against one of the “should win” games (it just better not be against FUNR).

AF struggled to beat Navy today, MWC is horrible every MWC game is winnable, I just want them to play respectable against ND.

I’m not so worried about ND, even chalking it up as a close loss or a blowout loss. Don’t get me wrong, from a wide view, it’d be a tremendous win even if ND isn’t strong. But at this point, it’s not going to be “the game” that keeps the Rebels from doing well in conference or “the game” that is the make or break for a bowl game. It’s more of a game for perception, but not really for substance. I’d rather lose by 50 to ND and win conference than lose a tight one or beat them and finish 3rd or 4th in conference.

I believe it was Bull who stated that UNLV still without two DBs plus one other on the defensive end.
On the offensive end, we have two of our starting WRs out in Weimer and KWilliams. UNLV will only get better as we approach that ND game or SJSU game.
Fresneck just lost to UConn in Storrs, Connecticut. Without Haener, FSU will suffer.

This is ND schedule. They're in a bye week this week. Next week, they have BYU follow by Stanford at home. Look what they did to North Carolina after nearly loss one at home to Cal. If they beat both BYU and Stanford, then even if UNLV goes in at 6-1 record dont matter. It will be a blowout.

They were also missing 3 RBs, 2 WRs, and a TE today due to injury. Only 1 starter but all quality depth pieces that see a lot of snaps and playing in a rivalry game. And they fumbled once inside the red zone and once on their own 30.

AF also runs the 3-3-5 that gave us fits against New Mexico.

And we haven't beat Air Force since Bobby Hauck took us bowling. I don't think it's an unwinnable game but when you can't stop New Mexico from running a 24 Dive for 6 yards on first down, you're going to have a bad time against a team that actually runs option well.
