Here is an article about big Zimm. Nice article. Here is an observation and this article made me think about this thought before.
In the article it talks about UNLV's lack of strength and conditioning? Really, I didn't know that this was a problem, but I guess I can believe it.
So...my thought. When Beard was hired he sat all the players down. Gave them a schedule and a diet. Yep, that's right a diet and work out schedule. I heard that MM did not and Rice did not. I was wondering if anyone else can shed light on this.
But, winning begins with the little thing. First, how do you put on your socks properly. How/when to work out. Don't just take shots, take perfect shots to make you better. Etc.
I wonder how MM has been doing. I will be down there to talk to MM about unrelated business and I intend on asking him. I also will make the suggestion that if it has not been done already, that he does do it. Beard was here for 20 minutes and had the guys on the path. I liked hearing that and a comment from one of the players was that he liked that attention to detail also.
