Not sure how the vote came down from the media but saw in the Ragview Journal that Colette beat McCaw for FOY.
Colette: 11.7 pts, 4.9 rebs, 1.16 assists, 1.89 blocks, .77 stls... his FG% is good too but I didn't calculate just for MW play.
McCaw: 11.9 pts, 3 rebs, 3.35 assists, .35 blocks, 1.47 stls... also made 2.35 3's per game at 43%.
Of note: Colette is ranked 18th in rebounding and 5th in blocked shots in conference... McCaw is ranked higher in points obviously, 5th in assists, 5th in steals, 4th in 3's made, 5th in 3 point % and 3rd in Assist to TO.
In terms of comparing each player to other players in the conference within the categories where each excels in MW play McCaw is much better.
I'm a homer but I think the stats speak for themselves. You could also toss in their overall importance to their respective teams.
