With Allegiant being the most profitable concert venue I would love to see the Raiders get sick of us and build us our own on-campus stadium. Just think of the $$ they could make having concerts instead of Rebel games. 1 concert would bring more than an entire season of Rebel football.

I would love to hear from all those people that said building this stadium was a waste of tax payers money!
You can hear from one, me. Even though stadium is a hit, not close to paying off what taxpayers paid for it. That said, taxpayers pay for a lot of other stuff that is a waste also, worse stuff than a stadium.

Stadiums are billionaries welfare plans.

Considering the number of events, and the amount of income and taxes collected not only at the stadium, but also in the casinos, hotel rooms, meals ,etc., the stadium is actually making a huge sum of money for the private sector and in additional taxes. If people are so worried about taxes spent worry about the school district giving out free food to anyone and everyone on a year round basis while charging educational fees to the students!

By the way, 100% of the additional taxes come from a long term temporary (tax goes away after bond paid off per senate bill 1) are from the hotel room tax increase, and not the tax payers as a whole. The amount coming in from the room tax has in most months been significantly more than required to cover the bond payments with the exception of two payments during the start of the covid shutdown of the casino/hotel industry.

Gross revenue is critical. No question and Allegiant being no. 1 is no surprise to anyone paying attention. But what is forgotten is the typical argument that arenas and stadiums are bad investments for local governments because they never meet the revenue projections, fail to create the number of jobs projected and local governments get stuck with the bill. That might be true in Cleveland or KC. But this is Las Vegas with 42+ million tourist per year! The Allegiant is a critical piece of entertainment infrastructure for Las Vegas and a key component of future growth in sports and entertainment. Without Allegiant Vegas could not host MEGA events and concerts. No Super Bowls, Final 4’s, PAC 12 football championship games or Taylor Swift and Beyoncé concerts. Without the capability to host MEGA events how could Vegas continue as the entertainment capital of the world?

Next up? The Las Vegas ball park and home of the A’s on the corner of LV Blvd and Tropicana. Will there be government financing? If the Resort Association wants it…absolutely! Will it be successful? Absolutely! The Las Vegas ball park will result in MLB having a permanent residency on the LV strip and more events.

I feel like the 5-6 days a year that UNLV football occupies that building arent going to get that clown Davis to open his wallet and build a stadium for unlv.

Yeah the stadium was empty when she started off, but by the time stars of the show came on, it was filled to capacity.

Bro, you went? That’s awesome. Well, I bought tickets the night before. I was just super excited that they were available. Allegiant is super strict. There’s a sign that shows how big of stuff you are allowed to carry on inside. There’s this lady that had to be turned away because her Michael Corrs clutch was a millimeter bigger than the sign. She was crying her eyes out. (I would too)

I got into Joan Jett really late. Like maybe 3 years ago. Started listening to her stuff. And said “dammit, I gotta go see her”

So I was happy. I never saw Poison so I was super happy about that.

I seen Def Leppard at Mandalay Bay in 2002 but Joe Elliott was shot to crap by then. And plus, their earlier stuff was a ton better. And they don’t play any of their early stuff.

You still own a CrossFit gym?

I work at Allegiant for all the games/concerts. Get paid to see all the events 🤷‍♂️
Not crossfit, just do outdoor bootcamps, but not as much as years ago.

They need to fix the sound system inside the stadium, everything echos and it's hard to hear. Wish they would have made the roof transparent like in original renderings
