Not taking shots here, I think New Mexico may have actually made the better hire. Eck completely rebuilt Idaho program with limited resources. Vs Rogers who took over a program that was already rolling similiar to Bobby Hauck.

Scroll up to read my thoughts. But to summarize, I think this is a shit hire. We could and should have done much better.

My idiot Coug brethren? Most of them think this is a home run hire. And that Rogers apparently bringing his entire staff of completely non-FBS experienced coaches with zero West Coast ties is great news. And that he apparently will be bringing a bunch of his FCS players to bolster the roster is wonderful news.

Big12 vs B1G tie in. We were lucky last year that the B1G couldn’t get a team in.

LA Bowl was better, played an ACC team. Better than potato bowl or Arizona bowl. Only would have been interested in the Hawaii bowl.

Now to be fair hockey has the most amount of 'luck' of the major sports. Harmless shot from 20 feet out catches a skate takes weird angle goes in. Your team dominates puck possession triples the opponents high danger chances and somehow you're down 1-0 or 2-0.

If UNLV played Denver 10 times they are probably losing 9 of them. This just happened to be the one. And it's pretty damn impressive regardless.

whatever the Howard vs UNLV (sorry for the reminder) line was and multiply that by a couple thousand and that would be the line. UNLV is just a club team playing a storied college hockey program that’s won multiple championships with multiple nhl draft picks.

It’s a huge win, adds legitimacy to unlv hockey.

Harper seem seem uneasy greeting people making his rounds when only 5k in the seats. I don't know if wins alone can save kruger from that aspect of an disinterested following.. but its the same thing every year. Wait till next year. Well everyone constantly waiting until next year and same result.
