PAC 2 pausing expansion …. CBS Sports….

I think OSU/WAZZU is about 18-20
Boise 13-15
SDSU 12-14
CSU 9-10
Fresno 9-10
USU 5

SAC states < 1
UNLV is probably 8-9

Memphis 16
Tulane 10
USF 9
UTSA 8

Take the original 10 ( with the AAC) and you will get around 12 mil per team per year as reported
I tend to concur with your upper numbers. On Sac St, they are an unknown IMHO. Given the outpouring of support by that rather large community, they could surprise if the Pac starts coming to town.

Memphis and Tulane - Their YTD viewership results don't really seem to support those numbers. But then again, they have been relegated to relatively obscure networks. Which says something in itself. Check out Week 5 (below). Oh and Sac St made it in Week 0. Drawing more than either Memphis or Tulane did in Week 5. But factor in networks, day/time and competition.

PAC….terrible leadership!

A "brilliant performance"? Ok buddy, let's go with that. The rest of the country thinks we have totally f-ed up by not doing the merger. But don't mind them. Teresa gets to keep her job, which is the only thing that matters.
One thing that will be brought up in the lawsuit for the scheduling agreement fee is "If your intent was to not pay the fee as you claim it was unfair, why did you stop at just 4 schools originally when you then offered 3 additional programs in the conference spots"... that right there should kill the lawsuit all together.
The answer is your commissioner thought everyone would jump at the opportunity to join the Pac 2 and no one would push back. that failed miserably

I think even with this configuration, $12m is too high. Osu/wsu and Boise are a little over valued in this. $10m might be a little bit more tolerable in today’s market. I couldn’t imagine CBS stomaching $12m a year per school. They’re hemorrhaging money. Espn too.

All right you Coug-hating shitheads, I started a thread on my board. Let's see if it gets any traction. Bad news is it is up against a thread started by one of our resident freaks spreading lies about FEMA and hurricane Helene.

Its always fun to read the pac perspective from pac fans. I can emphasize since most of them are just as delusional as our fans.

I'd rather hear about FEMA and their horseshit of an organization.

The TV Deal for the Mountain West is currently 4 million per school but Boise St. Gets more, I thought I read it was 6/7 million for them!
It was a set amount of $1.8 million extra per year. Now BSU will need to get almost $2 million extra above the MWC contract to even break even, and this isn't including the fees to leave the conference. UNLV keep winning and become a big player, and the MWC could end up much closer to the of the Monkey Pax2 conference!

PAC….terrible leadership!

We are truly a flagship university of this conference.
Had this new playoff structure been in effect last year, C-USA's flagship Liberty would have been given the coveted #12 spot. Something we should all ponder. The AAC and the MWC will still have a say whether or not the POS7 get that spot. OOC are the only 3 letters that should matter to UNLV now.

Sluka Redshirting and Transferring

even if we don't win, the national media still would have moved on. It's how they work. There's always a new story. People literally thought the Sluka transfer was going to be the death of us.
I don't think they realize our Go-Go is in better hands. Much better hands. Hajj definitely weakened the bad press, along with our entire team that appears to be on the same page finally. This is a GREAT breakdown of the Go-Go.

@Loyal Coug1 drop this in your Coug forum and get some feedback. I'm curious as to how high/low they perceive the value of the different teams to be.

Sluka Redshirting and Transferring

Remember when the nation and the national legacy media were clutching their pearls and railing on UNLV from their elitest podiums? Silence. So predictable. Keep winning and UNLV remain in the national spotlight, but without all the talk about whats-his-face.
No doubt, winning is a cure for all! Now UNLV needs to keep winning to get rid of that nasty Monkey-PAC2 virus!

Hawaii

Not a big fan of the travel subs. I think it’s kind of bush league and we should drop them.

Especially if we’re screwing Hawaii out of millions and only giving them 5% of the exit fee money. They're at least as valuable as UNR and SJSU who are getting 11.5%.
I think we should waive UNRs exit fee and give them to the PAC12 as a peace offering.

Had they included another 2 schools to create a viable conference, I would have agreed. Leaving it 2 straight stupidity in my opinion.

PAC….terrible leadership!

If that were the case they wouldn't have added Colorado State and Boise either. Not really tropical regions in the winter.

BTW, CSU is is Ft. Collins and AF is in Colorado Springs, but I understood what you meant.
I think Albuquerque is the only one you could actually fly into but who wants to go there any time of the year. I’m probably wrong again. 🤷‍♂️

I'm not one to sneeze at 2 or 3 million dollars extra in a media deal. But was all this worth it to remain a G6 conference? If they can double it up to 12 million sure I get it. UTEP is leaving CUSA for the same reason. Nearly 5x current deal.

The P4 will remain the P4. They aren't giving up any potential at large bids by recognizing the PAC as one of their own.

(I realize you were in the reverse merger camp.)
I still think it will be close to double the base amount. Maybe not double what a reverse merger would have been, but double what the MW will get.

Then you look at possible NCAAT credits looks pretty good with fewer teams that would divide. Now I expect some cannabilization in conference. Harder for a team like Boise or CSU to make the dance in a conference like that. But higher quality top to bottom.

What do we get now $5? So how is Hawaii of all places worth that much?

We get 5 now. 6 this year because of the PAC 2 agreement which wasn't renewed. With the MOA we will get 6.5-.6.8 next season. Then 1.5-1.8 (assuming we get as much from the PAC as we originally thought) above the base contract moving forward.
