Might be better he stays, maybe.
It definitely hurt his draft prospects this year.
He stays, keeps out of trouble and posts good numbers again it helps his restore his image a bit.
If he transferred it's not like he can run from any legal crap. Plus logistics of having to appear in court if he left to another state could be problematic.
Probably the smartest move for him honestly.
