Yeah but he quoted Mojave’s HS coach saying the hs kids are worried about the job security of their HC, UNLV shouldn’t be firing their coaches every 4 years. What a dumb thing to say, those kids don’t give a rats rear end how long a coach has been at a school. Coaches job security is the last thing they care about, come on everyone is on a one year deal anyway.

While these same high school players will jump in a second to whomever is willing to pay the most!

Hes .660 and won 2 conference titles in 5 years... Samford won 6 games his first season as a HC and then won 21, 21, and 29 before having a down year this season with 22 wins... Hes not Menzies

Just focus on style of play. Aggressive press defense, fast paced offense...
GM just has a really good top 15 scoring defense and Samford wasn't hitting shots

But then we get swept by New Mexico and had losses to Wyoming and CSU!

Upset #2 but couldn’t win the MWC regular season or the MWC tournament, with all that talent?! Lol

I will say this, I do look forward to these threads every 4-5 years. At the very least, they’re entertaining. Not much substance, but definitely entertaining.

Change the style. Give more freedom. Give them the confidence. Some good things can happen.

Lon was a good coach but we were hamstrung offensively, too controlling (Kevin is the same way). Low turnovers (and caused a good chunk of turnovers for a good plus/minus) has a big benefit. But an underdog aggressively taking it to the big favorite because the dog believes they are better … that’s a beautiful thing.
