There was some recent internet chatter on the G5-PAC kicking tires on the NMSU as its 8th football member. Now this from the NIU AD! If true MWC AD GN completely out maneuvered the G5-PAC. But the metrics and more revenue!

😝 Sorry I missed it. But remember OSU and WSU were part of the same leadership that said no to Texas and Oklahoma! Also, both Hawaii and possibly UTEP said no to the G5-PAC.
Yes, UTEP chose the MWC over the G5-PAC and they lay out the total incompetence of the PAC leadership over the years and how Gloria N is completely outmaneuvering the G5-PAC. The Monty Show has a nice take on the MWC v G5-PAC.

Really glad you brought that up. I remember when the Pac2 and MWC were discussing the Scheduling Agreement and both the UNM President and Gloria were giving presentations to both WSU and OSU to discuss a Merger. The OSU President was praising Gloria and complimenting her on a great presentation the UNM President and Gloria provided them. Then we move on to the Scheduling Agreement and it gets signed. After that it leads us to where the Pac2, primarily the OSU President because the WSU President is on his way out, where she imo stabs Gloria in the back and works behind the scene to steal MWC schools.
Bad Karma will only come out of this for that OSU snake. Gloria has worked her ass off and has done an incredible job of keeping the MWC together. We may not be where we wanted but at least she is a worthy MW commissioner. We are lucky to have her.

Good video. The only negative is I get a feeling they look at UNLV as the poor step-child to Fresno State, BSU, SDSU, etc.... It is almost like they haven't seen the changes over the last 3-5 years, and specifically the changes over the last two seasons. I personally believe UNLV now has more value that any of those schools as listed above.
But they were positive on LV and I would anticipate today they would have a better take on UNLV.
pac7 was screwed the moment the Memphis AD publicly said their offer was shit.
On the LV media market yes, on the team not so much. I do think there are several key points that show this podcast is somewhat out of date and most likely broadcast 3 or more months ago. I think this was early enough that UNLV didn't have a second great year to point out, it was prior to Hawaii obtaining a full membership (in fact they pointed out that Hawaii was going to stay football only), it is also prior to Texas State not going in the direction of the MWC. If you add in the great year UNLV had, and the home run hire for the new coach, I think a new podcast would be much more positive in regards to UNLV.
Add that to thinking that UNLV was irrelevant. Maybe they should have waited to see how the second UNLV season would go before deciding that the first year under Odom was an aberration!
PAC will likely add Texas State or North Texas.

I agree and I would expect they would point out UNLV’s back to back successful seasons and maybe the $3 mill viewers for the MWC championship game. Because they did point out what matters is current success.
They could still legitly still poach Hawaii and Reno and call it a day. That’s what I would do if I was Pac leftover commish..
Hate to say it, but I dont think I'd want hawaii. It just adds too much expense. If I'm pac, I go for unlv and Reno for sure. The last addition? Wyoming, afa, unm, or hawaii.... grab afa if you can. If not, I'd say wyoming honestly, since you already have csu and they are like an hour drive apart.
That's if the existing bylaws allow for departing schools to vote, which I assume it does not.
Pac will likely crumble after the traitors see the real numbers vs the numbers they were promised and Boise & SDSU come crawling back again

How much higher would the media deal be for MW if the traitors returned. OSU & WSU are worthless when they arent playing USC, UCLA, ARIZONA, Utah etc. they will slide into mediocrity.
Honestly, I don't think our deal gets that much better with them back. We'd be looking at a factor of hundreds of thousands of difference to the pay out per school. OSU and WSU do have value. Yes, their numbers were inflated by the rest of the former pack. But they wouldn't subtract from our media value.
