I don’t really care who we are playing tonight I am just glad the Thomas & Mack is open for business and we get a chance to see the Rebs in action. Tough match up for an exhibition as we are going up against Game 3 of the World Series as well as VGK playing at home.

I am very curious to get a look at the new guys as well as get a look at how some of the guys that have been in the program look in different offensive and defensive sets. Also looking forward to see what combinations he puts on the court together.

I will be at the football game tomorrow but for a little while tonight all will be well and hope will run high.

Go Rebels!

Well you really can't take a lot from a game like this but you can make some comparisons to last years team. Tillman is a nice replacement for Ntambwe, including the hair style. Long looks to be a serviceable PG although he may not be the scorer that the kid (forgot his name already) from Vegas was. Hamilton looked to be a little more comfortable shooting the 3 this year. Can't tell how much progression there is from Mbacke & Hardy as the other team just can't match up with them.

Loved the spacing on offense with guys cutting through the lane and the bigs jumping out setting screens. Lots of opportunities to drive into that wide open lane. On defense it was nice seeing the full court pressure for the entire game, as far as I know as I left with 10:00 to go. Also loved the trapping once we dropped back into half court D.

Oh lest I forget we do have a shooter on the team. Jonah can flat out stroke it. That is something that the Rebels haven't really had in a long long time.

Yeah, obviously there is nothing to take away from this game, competition-wise...and I knew that going in. All I was trying to do was get a look at Otz's offensive/defensive schemes. Liked what I saw. Really crisp, fast ball movement on offense and full-court pressure, hard-nosed defense.

I can get on board with that.

November 9th we get to see where we really are. If they are able to keep up this ball movement offense and this full court press Defense against K State they will be fun to watch.

Based on the rotations I saw last night it looks like we will use about 9 players once the season really gets going.

What was the starting lineup? I think I predicted long, hardy, hamilton, tillman, and diong.
