QB-Palandech continued to take the 1st team reps and had a pretty solid day. His best moment was a long TD pass to Brandon Presley over Tim Hough. Stanton performed well in redzone 11 v 11, with TD passes to Woods, Holt and a dart to Kanteman over the middle. Dalton Sneed may have thrown the prettiest pass of the day though, a corner fade route to 5'5 in Allan Cui.

RB-Not much to report on the running backs. All have had good moments throughout the spring. Lexington Thomas made a nice adjustment on a Kurt Palandech pass for a TD. Wanted to mention Lance Worthington, who had the longest run of the day going untouched for a TD.

WR-Woods continues to impress. Boyd returned to practice today, but was a limited participant.

TE-Tim Holt made a couple of nice grabs today. I expect the staff to utilize him in a variety ways, at TE and split out.

Offensive line. Nothing really new here. Singer has yet to dress but was handling some of the snaps during QB drills, may be getting closer to returning. Also a possible sign of who may be the backup center behind Kreitler.

DL-No changes to the front four.

LB-No changes to the 2 deep. Keyes really seems to be pushing McAleenan for MLB spot. Keyes has one or two 'wow' plays at every practice. If its not bull rushing an offensive lineman and collapsing the pocket, its making a big hit on a running back. Hit of the day goes to Gabe McCoy who put a huge lick on Tim Holt. To Holt's credit he held onto the ball.

DBs-Kenny Keys and Troy Hawthorne were running with the ones. Javin White seems to be in the mix as well. At CB I think its McTyer, Hough and Mouton leading for top three spots. Robert Jackson also very much in the mix.

K-Nope.

I think the staff is being true to their word. Nobody is being handed their jobs. Every position is up for grabs right now.

Expecting Friday to be a real physical practice heading into Spring Break.

Wily has also cut down weight. He can move well for a big man. Currently he's sitting near 260, and it seems like he's going down. Wily will be critical in being a pass rusher. He pulled off a really good spin move against Polu that would have ended up in a sack for a loss. Wily still has some ways to go in perfecting his attack as he tried the same thing on Saxelid and got eaten.

Polu(and I think Singer would too when he's healthy) and Saxelid make a stout left side. For the first time in years, the O line seems like it will be less of a liability.

Any chance Wily ends up as a DE? I'm not advocating it or saying it's a good or bad idea, just seeing reports of his quickness (and knowing his history at RB) and seeing the dropping weight, it had me curious.

I think he will get looks at the end when we need to stop the short yard run. Him, Fao, Hughes, and Valoaga at the line would be difficult for any offensive line that we play this year (except UCLA) to push around.

thanks for the report Tony wont give any starting spots in spring he wants players to fight for jobs. looks like our o line will be able to protect the Qb which we havnt had in years.great that the defense is stepping up. like last year secondary was good just worn down with lack of depth . With our pass rush we should get alot of sacks in games. those big hits by the defense will cause a fumble
