Utah St. informs football coach of intent to fire
Utah State said football coach Blake Anderson has been told he'll be fired for alleged noncompliance of Title IX policies, with Nate Dreiling named interim coach.

Not sure how a football coach could be responsible for his boss not doing their job? Also wonder how Title IX would be involved unless they are talking domestic violence by coaches or players against other student athletes?

That is what his attorney is claiming but according to the article USU fired him for what he allegedly did or didnt do?
My only thought is whether there are any players worth poaching

Did you see somewhere that Marion was being pursued or were you making a blanket statement?
The fear of Marion getting poached is overblown and exaggerated to an extent. He would never go to a school like USU a month before the season or right when the offseason begins.

What an awful position to be in. I would think they would go with the interim ( below ) for a year but he has very little experience. But, I can't imagine who they could get to come in at this late stage. If only this happened to Reno.

Reno has a football team that sucks, and is expected to be at the bottom of the MWC this year, and has not done well with recruiting, do we really want to remove a coach that has been great for UNLV from Reno?What an awful position to be in. I agree. I think the "he needs to be Head coach in waiting" crowd needs to reflect a bit on how lucky we got Maiava turned out to be a good QB. Will Marrion make a good HC some day, possibly, but losing him to another school isn't the end of the world. And yeah, 100% agree, anyone taking that job a few months before season starts is in for a rough year, and I don't see him looking at that kind of opportunity...
