Let’s assume we’re going to the Crac-10..this might be our last hurrah in Albecracky.
I have a ton of memories of them and their fans.
First off, before Rebel-Net, we were on two forums. Either cnnsi or the aol boards. Both boards were freakin’ hoppin back in the mid 90’s. Looking back, their fans were just as militant as ours. Very hardcore, loyal, just extreme fanaticism. (Too lazy to grammar and spell check) we had some good banter going on. There’s a dude named lobomike. They moved to lobolair.com I wonder if he still alive. Guy was probably a fat mess like I am today. I tried to log in to offer a good will but they only have one person lurking.
Dude, a guy named RebelX upstairs flew me into Albecracky using his frequent flyer miles. Very cool f’n guy. I had a cousin who was stationed there so I had a place to stay.
Green Chile is freakin good as hell. The maloofs had a garduno’s here at the fiesta Rancho. That’s as close to New Mexico food as we’ll ever get. And it was a very good Mexican restaurant here in town to eat at..
Going back to Albecracky..we went to a casino outside ABQ..it’s called Route 66 Casino, all they motherf’n served was soda. It was weird. No alcohol allowed.
So anyways, I noticed that the craps table was poppin’. A bunch of Mexicans with the cowboy hats etc were winning/having a good time.
We went to go eat buffet..
Later on we were walking to our cars.
There was an argument outside of valet or whatever. It was the same Mexican dudes at the craps table. One group of mexicans were arguing and then the women started fighting with the other women in the group (it’s always the women starting shit) and then it became a full on rumble.
Me and my cousin and a group just sat down and watched the whole thing unfold..
Good f’n times.
Going back to the game, the UNM fans hate us and rightfully so.
There’s a ton of history and they had a lot of players..
Kenny Thomas, Giddens, Danny Granger, Tony Snell.
They have a very good basketball history if you look at it.
Anyways, hoping for a close game but I smell blowout. Maybe Kruger let’s one of the future transfers play..Hall or Nowell. He either plays them or we continue to lose and risk the season.
