It is hard to tell for sure how many tickets are left, but considering they have removed the season ticket option, I am assuming that the tickets shown on the UNLVtickets site are the only tickets available. Currently there are only light pink areas left (few seats), as well as numerous sections that are fully sold out. There are also another +/- 12 sections with between 4-50 seats left. My guess is there are around 2-3K seats left in the bottom section at this time. This is of course with the assumption that UNLV currently has all the available tickets listed. Hopefully a late run on tickets will sell out most of what is left in the bottom section. A walk up crowd could also help out.

As a side note, there were at least 4-6 sections listed for the Fresno State game as still having lots of tickets left compared to zero this time around.

Hopefully not so many that it becomes a de facto home game for them like the Steelers/Raiders game.

It looks like there are a little under 2K tickets left to sell in the lower section. Hopefully there will be a big boost today and walk up to sell out the bottom section. The lower bowl filled would be good optics and metrics as SDSU President says!

Been wondering. Looks like we only open up the lower level.
1. How many folks fit in that lower bowl
2. Could they open up the next 1-2 levels?
If we keep winning, doesn't #2 happen?

I have no idea if this is right, I suspext it might be more like 27k, but here is what ChatGPT says:

How many people does the lower bowl (100s level) of allegiant stadium hold during UNLV football games?

ChatGPT said:

The lower bowl (100s level) of Allegiant Stadium holds approximately 25,000 seats during UNLV football games. The total capacity of the stadium for football is around 65,000, but the lower bowl specifically is designed for a more intimate experience.

Your second question....

I think they have to willing to accommodate if needed. But UNLV fans need to show up. I'd guess they would open if they knew they would get 95% 100s and at least 20% upper level

Not sure exactly how many the lower bowl seats, but it must be somewhere in the vicinity of 28-30k. The only game that I remember looking like the lower bowl was nearly full, as well as a few of the upper sections, was the MW championship game vs Boise State last season. The reported attendance was just under 31,500.

They did it in the last 1-2 days for the MWC championship. No doubt if they sell out the first second, they will then open the next sections above as needed!

I expect something similar as the Iowa State game, lots of ISU fans but hopefully more unlv fans this time as we were not good or exciting in that Iowa State game.

Even if the lower bowl is soldout, that's crap attendance, how many Cuse fans show up, UNLV ranked, they deserve the support.
I know Vegas has changed alot, but for city of what 2.5 in the valley, this is all you can draw, it's time to drop dammmmm sport, and join WCC and go from there, and yes i still hate UNR.

I think you guys are over estimating the amount of fans Syracuse has. They aren't some powerhouse that travels well.

Also ticket prices on the secondary market is crazy

Matt Neverett, the new color guy for UNLV.
Said, there would be 40K, at the game.
That's hard to believe.

I wouldn’t be surprised… I bet they bring 10-15k for Syracuse. Wonder if time and Friday night will hurt our numbers as well with HS football going on.

Nobody is saying they travel well everywhere but they DO have a sizable fan base and it’s an excuse to get out of the east coast and go to Las Vegas.

I laughed when I notice someone paid over $500 for their tickets. They could have bought the same seats for the season at the price they paid.

It seats closer to 30K in the bottom section.

I think Syracuse will bring fans since it is Vegas.

I'm sure they'll bring some, but how many? 1000? 2000? Im sure all of those fans traveling out here already got tickets to the game. You wouldn't come all the way here and tey to grab tickets last minute.

I wish Allegiant would open up more of the upper seats at lower costs. Maybe it would help get more people to the game

We should schedule Wisconsin again. Those guys traveled!

The funny thing about the Wisconsin game at Sam Boyd was that the UNLV press/media would always use the same photo of a packed Sam Boyd as if it was a photograph of a typical unlv home game. Everyone almost wore the same colors.

I believe Sam Boyd ran out of concessions in the game. Beer ran out etc.

It did...

Also Wisconsin fans were unaware that ice melts in 100 degree weather and had to call local Ready Ice place to bring them a van full of bagged ice because the five bags they bought for a massive tent/tailgate they had was gone in the first hour.

Our power transformers also tend to go out at the best times.

Wisconsin would be great! I wouldn’t be surprised if Syracuse had 5K.

Just checking the seat availability for the game tonight, and it does look like the lower bowl is at least 90% full. However, the cheapest ticket available is $54 and they haven't opened any of the upper sections yet. I don't know why they don't open at least a few of those upper sections and offer seats for $10-15 or so. I know a lot of people can afford to take a family of 4 or 5 to a game at $54 each, but a lot can't also. It would be much more palatable to have some $10-15 tickets options.

Quoting myself here, but it's similar at the basketball games. A lot of people don't want to pay for the lower bowl seats, so they'll buy seats in the balcony. If a certain percentage of fans aren't going to go due to the price, isn't it better to give them lower priced options to get them in the building?

Maybe. I’m sure there is a clear break even number to open up the upper bowl. Likely a lot of staff you need to add to support it. No clue how high that number is to break even if they charge 15-20 a seat.

Yeah, agreed, but you also make money on parking, food and beverage, merchandise, etc. Plus, in terms of perception, if you can get another 5-10k people in the building, that's huge.

Would be about time-amazing if we could sell out the lower bowl for a FS1 Friday night game. I was disappointed/surprised at the empty seats for the FSU game.
Me too. It must have been UNLV holding a bunch of the tickets for the 3 game mini-package deal or something, because when I had checked earlier last week, there were a lot fewer tickets available for the game, and then all of the sudden, a bunch more appeared just a day or two before the game.

29K would be awesome. 25K for the Fresno game wasn't bad.
I'm not sure if the suite level is included in the lower bowl or not. The last game definitely had some people in the suites. Certainly not close to full though.

Are the suites sold seperately for the Raiders games vs UNLV games? Or is it a thing where you buy the suite for the year including all events or something? I have no idea.
