They have a shot at a New Year's 6 bowl. If they go undefeated, they won't have enough meat on their schedule to break into the playoffs.

Agreed. They could finish undefeated and probably not crack the top 10. But all that matters for them to get NY6 is they have to be highest in G5, right? So they need to pass South Florida for it to happen.

Speaking of not having enough meat on their schedule... USF can't afford to stub their toe. By virtue of where they started in the polls, they have the inside track. But they have looked pretty shaky at times. Somebody will get them, just like someone will get SDSU. I'm looking forward to the Rebels taking down the Aztecs as SDSU looks ahead a week to BSU.
