UNR has a decent history of coaches being promoted. UNLV on the other hand in the last 30 years or so lost LK to OU after he was basically pushed out of UNLV, and the last BB coach Otersnauzer or whatever his name is to ISU after being stashed at UNLV for a couple of years, and every FB coach being fired during that time with the exception of JRob retiring.

The answer to that slow build will come within the first month of next season. If they come back out and lose all of the games, we know it is more of the same. UNLV plays Idaho State, California, North Texas and Notre Dame. If UNLV has shown improvement, they should easily beat Idaho State, and should also beat one or both of North Texas and California. Notre Dame would take a miracle. If UNLV finishes the first four games with less than 2 wins, we know nothing is going to change.

Agreed with both points. Week one and two should consist of two types of games, where either one can happen either week: a big money pay game in the sec or big 10 or whomever OR fcs home game.
