OT: Hypocrisy in politics

Vice President debate in 40 minutes.
Cant wait.

2 moderators are women lol
Vance absolutely destroyed Walz...
I mean they will be studying that tape in debate classes for years to come. Smooth, collected, unflustered...
Walz was taking furious notes like he wouldn't remember what was said and it looked like he was going to be voting for Trump and Vance by the end of the night... fully expect some new policy announcements at the next Harris rally

Yeah these moderators are still a joke.

Me and my roommate watched about 40 minutes before we went outside for a smoke break.

Then when we went back inside we watched boxing live from Tennessee lol.

Again, media biased. I thought Vance did very well.
The most egregious peddlers of misinformation (government and agencies) want to be the judge of what’s actually misinformation. And silence anybody who objects.

Thank Obama for this. He decided to utilize MSM as a weapon of propaganda.

I’m glad so many can see through it.

When it comes to censorship, the bad side is the one that demands it. Always.

I'm still completely baffled why anything needs to be labeled as misinformation. Lies have gone on since the beginning of Man and civilizations survived. Heck, we all thought the kid from Wonder Years was that creepy musician, and we turned out to be decent folks.

I'd propose that lying in written form is problematic enough since it could be sued against, which would make people reconsider lying in the first place. I don't think that we need any agency, government or private, being the purveyors of truth. But, I could be spreading misinformation now.

so nice to see our government respond with such compassion. Thousands displaced and have their lives ruined - not only with the latest hurricane travesty, but the Hawaiian Island fire … and we are going to aid them by giving them $700. Yet we will give illegal immigrants much more than that.

And while we have hundreds of thousands of homeless vets that gave their life for this country …

We will keep sending billions to Ukraine.

When they openly show you who they care about most, who the low man on the totem pole is (Americans) repeatedly …. Believe them.

Government sucks.

Something that just came up is that FEMA is about ready to run out of money because they spent over $6 billion in relocating illegals to other parts of the country. See what happened in Springfield, Ohio with 15,000 - 20,000 immigrants being dumped in a town of 60,000.

Nice. So what people the US prioritize? Illegal immigrants > Ukrainians > Criminal americans > Normal hard working Americans.

Got it.

Effem all. It's almost like the puppets above the government leadership wants the USA to crumble.

So much unbelievable hate out there. And it’s created, fostered. I don’t think “normal”, at least mentally sound people, are all that impacted by it. People are people, most are essentially very similar, imo.

But the rhetoric and intentional divisiveness is astounding to me. Maybe more astounding is that too many don’t see it, they sink their teeth into an ideology and cast common sense to the side, feed off emotion instead of logic.

I think it’ll get uglier before it gets better. Much uglier. Regardless of who wins.

I love Tony Hinchcliff...I've watched Kill Tony, religiously, every Monday for the past nearly 6 years! That said, you'd have to be a moron to bring in Tony as a speaker at a politically rally. They should've known he's an insult-roasting comedian that 100% was going to say SOMETHING that piss off the other side. It WAS simply a joke though...not a political nor social commentary. It wasn't serious.

Man, I feel bad for you Nevadans....having to bite the bullet and vote Trump. I would do the same if I were in your shoes. The alternative is voting for a continuing globalist agenda and their newly selected puppet. She'll say all the right things, even stealing Trump's policies if needed...but right now, the Democratic party is only concerned with foreign policy. Even going so far as to attempting to make America adhere to UN/WHO/World Bank policies. That's what they care about. They need to control Ukraine's Oil/Gas reserves & the ONLY arable lands in the world that rival the US's arable lands as far as soil quality goes...all that & keeping the dollar the reserve currency of the world.

Living in Utah has its goods and bads, for sure...but at the current time, at least I know every four years Utah's not voting in a Democrat...except for Romney who would've likely been primaried if he didn't bow out himself...but for president, the Republican will win. I felt the opposite from Bush until Trump (of course I was in NV for many of those years). I wished Utah didn't vote for Republicans before Trump...because they were all globalist as well.

NOW, I can just vote without the anxiety. I've never voted Trump, because I'm in Utah. This year was the same. I voted mostly Libertarian and one or two Republicans....and just gave away my presidential vote for fun to Jill Stein of the Green Party. I figured the Green Party vote is the vote Democrats despise the most. Glad I live in a state where I could waste my vote....but you guys almost have to go with Trump.

Don't worry, just do it. Right now it's the right thing to do. If you don't, you're stuck with a once decent party's candidate/puppet, that will never fulfill a promise...but one that wins the war in naming bills with buzz words that make you feel good. Bills that are full of giving money away to foreign countries; and will only get passed if people don't read the 10k page bill... Not to mention a party that loves giving money to foreign (and domestic) NGO's so they can get around passing laws that would've never gotten passed.

I’d hate to be a comedian today. Much of comedy is based on controversy, off color, hypocrisies … and it used to be considered funny. So many comics through time told these sorts of jokes but people had a sense of humor at one time and now people want some sort of golden shield to protect them in their bubble.

I remember when All in the Family and Sanford and Son and the Jeffersons and Good Times were funny to everyone, because we could laugh at differences, recognize them, celebrate them and laugh at the ignorance … not any more. Society became so thin skinned, everything is a “foul”.

I didn’t see what was said but it seems like both parties step into things with shortsighted decisions ….

This isn't a Trump endorsement...Just a political commentary on strategy.

Harris may well end up winning regardless.

Minnesota is a Dem stronghold there was little to no threat of the GOP winning that state. Pennsylvania is traditionally blue but has some cracks in it for Dems. Whoever made the call to go with Tim Walz over Josh Shapiro as VP pick is a buffoon.

Walz is god awful. Shapiro far more palatable to centrists.Did I mention Walz is awful?

Dems lose this election because they lost Pennsylvania whoever made that call should never advise or be used as a strategist again.

They picked Walz because they couldn't pick Shapiro due to his religious heritage. And agree, this race is probably over if they went with him, he's a much better candidate without the baggage

I still haven’t voted, don’t know if I even will. Both sides suck terribly.

But looking at that campaign trail and everything that has unfolded, I don’t know that you could do worse than the Dems did. It almost looks like they’re trying to throw the fight, it’s been that bad and things they’ve done have been so over the top bad …

The “best” thing done by either side on the campaign trail by either side was - by far, at least for me - who the Repubs picked up along the way. Musk (for freedom of speech, cut govt costs), Kennedy (for health and food), and Tulsi, who I mostly liked from four years ago … and though I didn’t like everything, I found Vivek palatable in many ways, as well …

This Waltz guy is just a moronic Minnesota goober and she still just non stop cackles and won’t answer a question directly. The only way I could see them gaining/keeping anybody is by the “anyone but Trump” vote. They’ve been THAT bad. And that might be enough to win it, unless I trust the polls, which don’t.

It doesn't hurt the democratic party when the media works for them

Personally, I don't like Trump. I supported Nikki Haley. But the Republican platform is so much better than the Democrats. I voted for Trump because I know that his economic plan is so much better.

Harassing a guy for wearing a “Let’s go Brandon” Hat, and filing false charges against the guy.

This is typical of what has happened across the country at polling stations. Harassment of voters is a felony! I hope he filed a big ass lawsuit, and all of them should now be in jail.
Seeing some shaming if you vote for a certain party, so I think we are seeing a lot of voters that are just keeping their mouth shut. At the workplace, I’m quite surprised at the number of flippings. And I think it has less to do with Trump than it does the complete lunacy of the left.

The bullying, shaming … it’s an old tactic. It’s intimidation, it’s ultra controlling, it’s trying to censor. From what I see, one side has that as the foreword and first three chapters of its playbook.

Choose who you want, vote who you want, say what you want. I really don’t know why it’s so difficult to allow people their freedom of choices.

Easy choice when it comes to voting. Vote for freedom or vote for total governmental corruption and control.

Everyone has a price, including pollsters... I hate polls, they've been wrong in every campaign cycle in last 4 major elections.

Exactly. Hard to trust anything anymore. Everyone does have a price. The problem is the price now is much lower than it was previously, a lot of people’s moral gauge used to be a lot higher. Plus, the elite, the people that have control, have more money than ever and they’re dumping it left and right for influence (I know they always have, but they get more people for less now because being unethical is the norm.

Breaking Bad was an entertaining show, best ever. But it also presented an interesting moral dilemma, which I love. What is your price for breaking bad? Everyone’s is different. I just don’t like how low it is nowadays.

The sad part about all this is, if you take politics out of the equation with everyday people. We have more in common than we realize regardless if you’re a Republican or Democrat. We’re all in the same boat when it comes to the cost of food, gas and housing. The suffering doesn’t discriminate and it’s not exclusive to one side or the other, but the politicians don’t want you to know that or believe that. They want to keep us divided because it’s easier to control us if we’re divided. To quote the great and wise Caesar “Apes apart, weak, Apes together, strong.” Until America realizes this and comes together to finally tell all these politicians that we’re sick and tired of you trying to divide us and remind them that we hold the real power and not them. This is going to go on for as long as we’re on the face of the earth

Exactly. That’s the way I see it regardless of what camp you’re in, what race you are, what income you are, etc, etc, etc. The 99.99% have similar aspirations.

They’ve wholly divided and it’s sad that people can’t see it.

I don’t have a warm fuzzy feeling and fuzzy feeling about this election
It’s going to go down to the wire.

I just got back from the gym at the lvac, the tent is outside. 2 girls wore Trump t shirts and we were all posing for pictures after boot camp class. An old lady went up to Lisa who is black from Chicago. Old elderly latch by herself..”you’re f’n stupid” is what she told her.. car accident outside….some a hole didn’t let that person out because it’s bumper to bumper.l

How do you go up to people and tell them that.?

I don’t care who you vote for either, don’t be mean like that.

At the end of the day, weRe all gonna be dead. long after this election is over..

Nobody gives a shit who you vote for.

I like Elon musk, he’s offering a tiny home for 15,000 dollars. Buy one of those put it on my land in Pahrump.put in a sewage line..

Game set.

Orange man.

Vote for Jill stein whoever..

F u lady Gaga. Taylor swift, any celeb..

Add all the land cost, connect requirements, improvement plans, utilities, offsite improvements, subdividing of the land, etc. to that $15K house, and you are still into the $100's of thousands even with cheap land. The house itself is only a portion of the overall cost of development. As the size of the house goes down, the exponential cost of development based on square footage skyrockets.

We saw one campaign just gain momentum … he added a really good team over those last few months, relatable difference makers …. The other campaign dodged questions and answered terribly, offered zero solutions that I heard.

Maybe he learned something along the way at his advanced age.

Electoral and popular vote. Don’t know if this was considered a landslide, but it sounds like the vast majority of Americans were fed up. The people spoke very loudly and clearly tonight, left no doubt at all.

I thought they’d kill him first, but the attempt lit the fuse. It just fired him and everyone else up. It backfired big time.

Even turned Nevada Red.

This is the result of people passing on daytime soaps for daytime "news." All of those channels aim to divide their fans from the other side. It's disgusting and people buy it hook, line, and sinker. (Both sides, not just one)

As Bongino said, It finally was bad enough... You cant call 70 million plus voters and their families garbage, fascists, etc and expect people to turn out in droves for you.. that was their ending argument. It failed and now they'll exit back into their internal echo chamber and emerge in the next cycle with the same argument.

I would be shocked if they take an honest look at themselves in the mirror and identify everything wrong with them and their approach. A few in the party have that ability but most still just think everyone else is in the wrong and the solution is to double-down.

The biggest change, including southern Nevada, is that the democratic party lost much of the Hispanic vote, which was a huge reason for the Nevada pick up.

I noticed some of the stats and demographics early, where the gains were made.

I kind of chalk it up to - people waking up, realizing how bad it’s been and how the lies don’t stop.

I’ve never seen a person as vilified as him. At some point, it has to become noticeable that he’s just a target.
