Nice Article!

I’m not going to fall into the 2022 December basketball trap or Menzies 20 win season trap or last seasons 3-1 or 4-1 start trap. Have to survey the level of competition, imo.

This team isn’t bad at all. But they haven’t proven anything either. Respect for beating UTEP, Bryant, Vandy and Hawaii? One subpar team and three complete crapball teams.

Let’s see how the perform vs the middle and upper part of conference before expecting some respect.

In the article regarding Maiava:

“He’s like a great point guard out there,” Marion said. “He gets us in the right play and makes great decisions. It gets out of his hands fast. He hasn’t taken any sacks in the last two games.”

Maiava has been so sharp that he’s remained the starter even though Brumfield is healthy.

“We’re playing king of the hill, so until he proves otherwise, he’s the guy,” Marion said.

Finally, something definitive!

Marion likes him. I don't think he liked Doug... remember Doug came back before Marion was on board.

Such a sensitive subject, if you're just guessing dont say it. Brum came back and huddled other players to stay. Whomever starting, we need to remember that Brum came back to UNLV and he is a Captain of the team.
As a player, Brum looks stunned and confused unlike the offence Arroyo run. There is that. Maiava is rapidly improving under Marion. He have surpassed Drum's understandings of the offensive schemes. IMO
