Twelfth seat if I'm lucky
Our first opponent of the 2016 season comes in with the following stats from the 2015 season:

Passing Yards - 273.2PYPG
Rushing Yards - 101.1RYPG
Yards Per Game - 374.3YPG

Tony Hughes, their new coach, will be the fourth coach for them in four seasons. He has been at Mississippi State since 2009 serving as the assistant head coach, safeties coach, and recruiting coordinator. He has also spent time as an assistant coach at Southern Miss, Ole Miss and Louisiana Tech.

The team was 3-8, 3-6 in conference, last season.

For reference our stats from last were:

Passing Yards - 211.4PYPG
Rushing Yards - 193.3RYPG
Yards Per Game - 404.7YPG

Will be interesting to see how much they adjust with new coaches in place. They return quite a few starters but no idea if they fit new coaches style. They did surrender an average of 2.5 sacks a game which bodes for UNLV which needs shot in the arm in getting to the QB , maybe this game helps our group of D Lineman get some confidence. JSU also ended the year at -5.5 in turnover margin.

It is nice to open the season with an opponent we should be able beat rather than on the Road or against a P5 team. Some field level highlights below, tough to gain much from them. In the 2nd video the QB for JSU #15, is former Rebel Jarin Morikawa (was a Walk-On here).
