Somehow every thread on this board eventually gets around to the notion that everything would have been different over the last several years if we only Dave Rice had successfully recruited a high-quality true PG.
That player would certainly have helped because a high-quality PG always helps, but there is absolutely zero chance that a PG alone would have made all the difference and delivered this program to the place where we want/expect it to be. Simplistic offensive design, terrible execution on screens, matador perimeter defense, one-note defensive strategy, totally ineffective pressing, lazy passes, miserable shot selection, green-light on 3PTs for everybody on the team . . . one player does not fix all of what has done us in over the past couple of years.
