How many games will we be favored?

Northwestern games was always going to be competitive for a few reasons.

1: Their style of play rarely leads to blowouts.

2: They have Michigan State this week. Pretty sure they weren't going to show a lot.

Watching the game in person, Northwestern wasn't noticeably bigger or faster. Something you definitely saw in other P5 matchups like West Virginia or Ohio State or even Michigan..

Rebels had every opportunity to win that game.

But an interception and two fumbles basically squashed any chance.
How was the game day experience there?

Not bad. But hardly a P5 experience.

Students weren't in school yet. So not a huge turnout there.

They had some port a potty's inside the actual stadium.

From certain seating you can't see their video board, because of the way it is angled.

Honestly Sam Boyd is no worse..

They have some very passionate fans but majority were pretty reserved.

Kinda what I expected. They have been pretty good in football in recent years, especially last year. I would expect a quasi rowdy cord just due to their recent success.

I hate to say it, but we are pretty much where I expected at this point.

I was hopeful about a win with Ark State, but wasn't automatically chalking it up as a "dubya" like most people. Sure we played them tough on the road last season. But the weather made it flukely, we do better when it's tough to pass for everyone. Plus they have one of the longest group of 5 bowl streaks for a reason. They are good, at least much better than us.

NW was never a game we could realistically win. Hanging for a half then getting blown out feels exactly right.

Good news? Wyoming may not be as good as their record, Vandy looks to be worse than last year. Hard to chalk them up as wins, but at least win opportunities.

Bad news, rest of the conference still looks better, though maybe not as they did week 1.

I always thought 2-4 wins, more if Armani made a leap.
I must admit, with my positive nature, I allowed myself to be seduced by the "Reno" Armani. I thought, with that game to build from, the staff would have him all off-season and he'll come in having turned the proverbial corner. I couldn't have been more wrong. The guy still can't hit water from a boat on most days (game days, usually) and, Cotton or no Cotton, the staff still likes to go away from what's working. Drives me ape$hit.

Somebody once said, "If you have two quarterbacks, you don't have a quarterback." I'm starting to believe we have two quarterbacks.

They insist in trying to make him something he isn't.

He had moments in Spring where he would make a phenomenal throw. And another. And another..All in one series.

Very next series. Three straight passes at the feet of his target. Or an int right into the LBs belly..
