When I think J Rob, I think student body left, student body right. So I think very old school vanilla power running offense. But he knew that the D had to be sold to win that way. Having 3(or was it 2?) 1000 yard rushers in one season told you all you needed to know.
Pesonally, in football I tend to like defensive minded teams. The 80's bears, even early 90's Giants, and I was a big fan of the early 2000's Bucs.
However when it comes to college football, especially at our level, I think that is too hard to do with the way the game is played. You have to be a $EC team with all the best athletes to win that way, and even though more traditional defensive teams are doing it with more dynamic offenses these days.
