Cuse Nation is Excited

I live in a great beer city and neighborhood (Little Italy). In addition to the brewery in my building we have about 8 within a 0- 5 minute walk and about 15 more within a 10- 20 minute walk, so definitely no shortage, but the one downstairs for sure sees me the most. Most are tap rooms of their breweries not where they brew.
I remember my old apartment in Portland near Henry Weinhardt brewery before Coors bought them out. The smells can be too much at times.

Henry Weinhardt also made a really good root beer. Would always get some when visiting family in Portland.

I've been to the Yuengling Brewery and did the tour. Some of the worst smells that I have smelled.

Still like it though :)

Recently I’ve been on a Landshark and Kona big wave kick. I just want simple, easy drinking beer.

Oh the only thing I know about Syracuse is Mike Rotunda (professional wrestling) Donavan McNabb, Carmelo Anthony and McNamara from their championship basketball team.

Welcome Syracuse fans, I might register to talk some smack.

I know about the carrier done

That’s about it. Hosts both football and basketball.
That's too bad. Syracuse football has a storied and important position in CFB history and breaking racial barriers in the game. Jim Brown, Ernie Davis (first black Heisman winner), Floyd Little. The Express is a great movie. Sad story in the end. If you haven't seen it, watch it.

I grew up near Syracuse and some of my fondest memories are going to Archbold Stadium with my Dad to watch Jim Brown.

Players are going to have a great experience. Fall foliages are beautiful to look at.

148 tickets bought. I have 10 more on a waiting list...for anyone that cancels out of my group.

Syracuse is being designated as the premier "most expensive" game for UNLV per my tix rep.

I have a few people driving in and don't want to pay $75 to park at Allegiant. Any nearby lot at a Casino much cheaper?

You can find a bunch of parking lots within 0.5-1 miles from the stadium. I typically pay around $20-25 to park. Look for the parking lots to the south of the stadium that do not allow you to pay up front, there is always plenty of parking. The parking lots where you pay on game day are individual owners, while those you pay up front through parking companies charge a lot more and are tied into the stadium parking. As for casino parking you may be able to get parking at Mandalay Bay, but it is likely more expensive for the parking that is closer to the stadium, but you can check in a few months when nearer the football season to find out what they will charge.

Tailgate Tavern.

Do the owner a solid grab a drink or two pregame/pre tailgate. Then leave car there and walk over. Maybe 1/4 to 1/2 mile walk to stadium. Straight shot.

UNLV tix rep told me this should be the largest crowd of the season. I'm at 154...literally have requests for 25+ more but had to stop. A home tailgate our group can manage. The road in an NFL lot is a different story.

We bought out our Club section and sent 6 extras to next section.

Quick Question? Do the Raiders try to avoid UNLV home game weekends or don't they care?

It's my understanding that on Raider weekends if we also have a game our game needs to on Fri Nite at the latest. No Saturday games.

Thanks for the tip

Do they allow game day parking?

Edit: I called them. Yes, they let you park there for free for UNLV games if you buy some food or beer.

Thanks for the heads-up. The UNLV rep told me it could happen (Wyoming last year) but he thinks the Cuse game would be a pretty low chance.

Sounds like it isn't totally mandatory they have to move to Friday.

UNLV played SJSU on November 25th (Saturday) at home, and the Raiders played the Chiefs on November 26 at 1:25 PM at home. While it may not be preferred, it can be done without too much difficulty.

I expect the unr game will have a bigger crowd due to the number of unr graduates that live in Las Vegas. Typically unr games draw well.

Anyone care to predict the scores of Syracuse vs UNLV scores? I think we (UNLV) is lucky to play Syracuse this early. Once that QB get accustomed to the team, Syracuse will be hard to beat. I say UNLV 37 and Syracuse 31

I expect UNLV to continue to improve from last year with the staff staying intact, and the number of high level transfers.

So my on scene rep met with the UNLV tix rep about parking on site. We had a huge curveball thrown at us. We were informed the lots don't open until 90 mins before kickoff. I could handle 3 hrs...4 or 5 hrs is ideal though.

Any insights?

I know Mandalay and Luxor have tailgates set up but do they allow private tailgates to set up on their lots?

That doesn't sound right? I thought it opened 4 hours before?

I found this online, but didn't find anything official:

Tailgating is permitted in designated lots for a maximum of four (4) hours. Guests can begin tailgating four (4) hours prior to kickoff; however, tailgating becomes prohibited at kickoff. Guests looking to tailgate on Allegiant Stadium-operated property are required to possess a valid parking pass.

Per UNLV tickets, it is 4 hours, maybe they person you talked to was providing bad information?

Don't know for sure, but I park at the Mandalay Bay and I've never seen a tailgate there.

The private lots behind the stadium allow private tailgates. There is one place I park at that has them.

Definitely not correct. Lots open 4 hours before game time.

As much as I'd love to crash @Bullmastiff 1 tailgate...our group is going to be 200 and not 20. We right now are expecting Lot B. The UNLV premium tix rep has been awesome. Obviously any of you guys wander through just ask for me. We'll share a beer.

Going to be interesting as this is the first away tailgate of this type of size I haven't driven to. Good practice as we are going to Stanford next year...our newest Atlantic Coast Conference bestie.

I really like the super conference proposal with some tweaks...unfortunately conference greed will keep it from happening. I guess you guys will be setting up something with the Pac 2. I hope you guys stay flexible as a B12 or ACC invite could happen within 5 years.

In five years the ACC could be gone.
