For whatever anyone thinks of Dave, good, bad, or indifferent, you gotta respect that going into a make or break year, he stays the course. His vision all along was elite recruiting, elite schedule, elite results. He believed it from day one. He has fallen short of elite results, but still has 7 top 25 wins including wins vs 1 UNC and #3 Arizona. His recruiting is elite without question. And we will see that continue. They are relentless on the recruiting front presenting a vision of an elite program that elite kids buy into. And they continue to buy into it. He has put together an elite staff with a fantastic player development coach who was three times best defensive player and AA in college and an NBA development coach along with two elite recruiter players coaches. And after playing the third toughest OOC schedule in the country last year and taking some lumps with injuries, transfers and losses and knowing many want him on the hot seat he does what?? Schedules even harder, recruits better, works harder, because he knows we can be an elite program. He expects to build an elite team and program. His belief in his vision of UNLV as an elite program outweighs any fear of failure. And he works tirelessly to make his vision a reality. Make no mistake, CDR is a fighter he's a Rebel to the core, he ain't scared, he's coming out fighting.
