The information this guy put together is absolutley fascinating. He includes all sports and academic information. The consultant, Tony Altimore, put together all kinds of charts and graphs. It really is interesting. He also said he would put his presentation online for anyone wishing to look at it. This is a little over 30 minutes, but I think you would really enjoy it.

This was great information! Hope MW targets Rice and UTSA. Assuming we can’t get SMU and Tulsa because of payouts. UTEP and North Texas could be good options if we see more teams leave in the future. MW needs to be pro-active now and not get complacent.

Amazing, when you see it graphically, just how far BSU lags academically. UNLV is in a much better position, but it would seem that, according to what Altimore was saying, their administration could be holding them back. How many times did he say what a significant hire Jeramiah Dickey was for BSU (AD)? BSU has a long way to go, but it seems they're making the right moves. UNLV needs to do that. They'd be on the short list already.

BSU football is the only thing that puts them into play for a major conference. Currently they are 2-3 and could very well lose to BYU, Fresno, and SDSU. If they win all the games they are favored to win, they could end up 6-6 this season.

UTEP and Rice are not going to be good for the MWC. They will not do anything to help the conference.
Rice makes a lot of a sense with academics, Houston TV market and endowment. UTEP only makes sense if we’re trying to keep a conference together. If Boise, SD, st, Col st and Air Force leave in the next 5 years I would rather be pro-active and take over the Texas markets and recruiting. If you don’t then you’re left wth FBS teams to keep a conference together.

And it says a lot that that record would be their worst since 1998.
