Watching a game now. It’s incredible how much rougher they play and the refs allow it. No wonder the Mountain West comes up short in the NCAA. DTJ would be hospitalized by the third conference game.

Yep, I say this every year. They condition MW teams to play soft, then we get eaten up in the tourney
What I notice - teams are just better. More fluidity, purpose, focus. I’m talking conference games from stronger conferences. I see USU, SDSU … they look bottom half of those conferences. In terms of overall quality, with no strong teams at all and with the bottom as bad as it’s ever been … this might be the weakest MWC I can recall.
Big reason why I hate when we have a weak ooc schedule. Tune up games are fine but you're going to have to get these kids ready to battle and they aren't going to learn that playing against mwc teams with mwc officiating.
