OK, at risk of catching flames, here it goes: Overrated. I'm not saying its bad, I'm just saying its on par with Outback (which is about 1 1/2 miles down Craig) without the 2 hour wait. That place is beyond packed. Its like Star Wars land in there. And I must say that the employee dance routine every 30 min? Is cringe-worthy. I think the restaurant knows that and thats why they do it - its a circus.

It might seem messy, but it hasn’t been. I think whatever the plan is, it’s being executed. I just don’t think it’s a sound or very lofty plan.

I think UNLV can aim higher, much higher than the listed “known” targets. Better, but variable resources are available. I just don’t know that UNLV will make the most of it. I don’t expect them to.

One that is of true value in the 2.5M category.

I think we need a coach that can immediately recharge the fan base and put butts in the seats. That’s critical. The place is a morgue and we are hemorrhaging. A lot of these names you see - they may or may not be good coaches but they don’t move the excitement needle. It has to win the press conference and on the floor. That’s not easy, it’s a small pool to choose from.

They have to move quickly too. Improve season after season and relatively rapidly.

Me? I’d double finger the ncaa and hire Pitino but I’m not the one risking things by saying that. But he’s too big of a risk for UNLV. I’d do it though. We are nearly dead. Go down in flames once and for all or win big.

Matta would be a good hire. Hoiberg would be good but he will end up at Nebraska once Miles is fired.

It all seems to be like a long shot at this point. But it’s gotta be a big name that can get things done quickly. And we aren’t looking at such candidates.

Ok, Ive been reading this board for 15 years, but finally signed up for a free account just to respond to this.

About the flashlight- I had to look it up. I had no idea what you were talking about. I was a music major at UNLV from '93-95. I have seen that thing more times than I can count, but never once knew, or even thought about, what it is.

That is all. I'll continue to keep up with my fleeting passion through you folks who are much more in touch with the program than I am these days. Thank you all for your input.

Not really, it just shows how most people have forgotten about it when the staff at UNLV didn't even know what year it was installed. It is kinda like the athletic logo that after a few years was finally put to a needed death!
