There were some rumors he might be the DC initially. I wasn't super excited when I heard it. (Not a huge fan of his defensive philosophy.).

But in this capacity I think it's a pretty impressive addition.

2014 DC for the Cincinnati Bengals - 12th in Team Defense
2015 DC for the Cincinnati Bengals - 2nd in Team Defense
2016 DC for the Cincinnati Bengals - 8th in Team Defense
2017 DC for the Cincinnati Bengals - 16th in Team Defense

2018 DC for the Raiders - 32nd in Team Defense (Cincinnati dropped to 30th)
2019 DC for the Raiders - 24th in Team Defense (Cincinnati 25th)
2020 DC for the Raiders - 30th in Team Defense (Cincinnati 22nd)

So, in Cincinnati his worst season he was 16/32 teams, with 2 top-10 defenses.
With the Raiders, his tenure wasn't good but was that due to personnel or did he forget how to coach?
I know that he's not here as our DC, and he's likely only going to be here for one season, but he succeeded against the best coaches in the world, not just other college coaches.
