This was the unintended consequence of the newly widened sidelines. Since there is more room, they can, for the first time, fit a camera cart behind the home bench. This cart hit and opened a gate valve (or something like that) while positioning for a shot, unleashing the stream of water. I heard this from a friend working the CBS Broadcast.

Ah ok, makes sense. It clearly was some kind of water valve because it was pressurized and got turned off.
