I had a good time out there today. The weather was nice, slightly overcast & it was a nice turnout. Hunkie Cooper greeted folks on the sidelines.

We definitely have some dudes out there this year. A number of freshmen will see the field for us. I don’t like to comment on players but I will say that Orji is a much better passer than I was expecting & Collandrea is a much better runner than I was expecting. Definitely a deep and talented RB group. Lots of variety with the TE’s.

It should be a fun year coming up.

Omeire will be more than a replacement for RW, dare I say upgrade? Yes! Dude is 6’4” , fast, quick, hops, long arms and great hands. TE’s out the wazoo with all kinds of skill sets. Keep your eye on Gumms, 6’3” 245. DeJesus was special but we will have a number of guys that can step in and do some of the things he did.

Ballungay should have been used in every game, at least 4-5 times, but that wasn’t part of the playbook!

Any specifics on the defense?

It does suck that we lost Arnett. I loved his approach and he is proven DC at the highest level of college football. Having Guenther is no slouch, but my expectations for this defense have dropped significantly. I was thinking it could be an improvement over last year, now I am not so sure.

I am fully confident that the offense will be a big upgrade

Hands down, hands up, hands in the crotch....what the f**** ever, the kid was a stud. Yet, they cannot seems to find a few plays for him each game. I love what CBO and Brennan Marion did for UNLV, the negligence of Ballungay importance pissed me off. That kid was more of a weapon than just about anyone name Ricky White or Jet Thomas. Maybe just as dangerous.

Stats don't tell the whole story, but Estandia was second team all conference as well. Played 4 seasons in the NFL.

Omiere will be very good for us. I doubt he puts up dominant numbers like Ricky, just because of the overall talent in the room and our QBs running more. If he doesnt get poached, he will have a good year. Earle should fill in for DeJesus nicely.
