PAC HIRES OCTAGON

It would be great to see but more likely is Octagon recommends they make a hard press for UNLV to join. We really are the prime target out west and that’s not a rose-colored glasses perspective. Harp would be in the driver’s seat to negotiate a solid deal, like perhaps pay our MWC exit fee (whatever it’s negotiated to) and give us a free pass to an A4 for a period of time (say thru 2032) in exchange for a reduced cut of the annual pie during the term of the free pass. Then we still have our window to make the jump at the next (and likely final for some time) realignment, or stay in the strongest G5 if we’re passed over.
BTW, I have it on very good authority that SDSU was the mastermind behind the MWC breakup. Watch closely what happens when we play them. There may be a few extra personal fouls called that game on some reserve players who play a down or two.

OT: Hypocrisy in politics

I love Tony Hinchcliff...I've watched Kill Tony, religiously, every Monday for the past nearly 6 years! That said, you'd have to be a moron to bring in Tony as a speaker at a politically rally. They should've known he's an insult-roasting comedian that 100% was going to say SOMETHING that piss off the other side. It WAS simply a joke though...not a political nor social commentary. It wasn't serious.

Man, I feel bad for you Nevadans....having to bite the bullet and vote Trump. I would do the same if I were in your shoes. The alternative is voting for a continuing globalist agenda and their newly selected puppet. She'll say all the right things, even stealing Trump's policies if needed...but right now, the Democratic party is only concerned with foreign policy. Even going so far as to attempting to make America adhere to UN/WHO/World Bank policies. That's what they care about. They need to control Ukraine's Oil/Gas reserves & the ONLY arable lands in the world that rival the US's arable lands as far as soil quality goes...all that & keeping the dollar the reserve currency of the world.

Living in Utah has its goods and bads, for sure...but at the current time, at least I know every four years Utah's not voting in a Democrat...except for Romney who would've likely been primaried if he didn't bow out himself...but for president, the Republican will win. I felt the opposite from Bush until Trump (of course I was in NV for many of those years). I wished Utah didn't vote for Republicans before Trump...because they were all globalist as well.

NOW, I can just vote without the anxiety. I've never voted Trump, because I'm in Utah. This year was the same. I voted mostly Libertarian and one or two Republicans....and just gave away my presidential vote for fun to Jill Stein of the Green Party. I figured the Green Party vote is the vote Democrats despise the most. Glad I live in a state where I could waste my vote....but you guys almost have to go with Trump.

Don't worry, just do it. Right now it's the right thing to do. If you don't, you're stuck with a once decent party's candidate/puppet, that will never fulfill a promise...but one that wins the war in naming bills with buzz words that make you feel good. Bills that are full of giving money away to foreign countries; and will only get passed if people don't read the 10k page bill... Not to mention a party that loves giving money to foreign (and domestic) NGO's so they can get around passing laws that would've never gotten passed.

A Lot can change but..

Its the Mediocre West...
Outside UNLV and Boise, everyone else can lose to anyone else on any given weekend. Their offense isnt good with the threat of Horton. Fresno is probably our best bet to beating them, but I wouldnt count out Rivalry vs Wyoming, or Utah St offense playing for pride.
CSU Horton, is out for the year.
Can't believe, I'm saying this but I'm hoping Reno beats CSU this Saturday.

Looks like recruiting has picked up!

I know you like the guy but “NO” we can do better than him!
He completed less than 50% of his passes in 3 games and one of those games was Utah Tech?!!! Lol

His post was sarcasm.

What wasn't sarcasm, was you wailing and gnashing your teeth in the off season because we ended up with 'some QB from Campbell' and Boise got a former 5 star transfer. (rides the bench by the way).

Light at the end of the tunnel.

The big difference with scheduling is UNLV has Allegiant which makes scheduling a home and home much easier compared to schools like BSU and sdsu who both have relatively small stadiums. Fresno State has had better luck scheduling home and home games because they have a fairly large stadium, but they do not have Las Vegas.
They don't need UNLV though to play in Allegiant, USC/LSU can play each other where a loss doesn't kill them unlike a loss to us. There is a reason you never see the P4 schools play good G5 teams it is always the dregs (formerly known as us). You can get big conference schools to play us but think it will be the bottom half of those conferences. I don't think you will see Bama, Texas or anyone at that level coming here to play us. Just getting them to accept a home game vs us will be a challenge now that we no longer suck. We do play USC, UCLA, ASU...I think the west coast teams we can get.

Thats not really why they dont schedule home and homes with Boise or SDSU...They didnt schedule home games with Boise because during that era of football, there was no benefit to going on the road and certainly not to a place where Boise has a very good record.
SDSU never got to the level worth a P4 school traveling to San Diego outside maybe an old Pac school from California. They do get Mizzou in like 2028 for a home and home.
Not sure what data you have but Fresno has not had success in scheduling decent home and homes, during their best years they went on the road to big games and in the future they have 1 home and home scheduled with Stanford.

A Lot can change but..

No shot!?!?
It was a one score game we just played. One where we had the advantage nad shot ourselves in the foot.
A game where we lost the tirnover battle. The thing that we have pretty much won every other game we played.
I wouldn't bet on us, but we have more than just a chance on a rubber match game
Did you read the thread? We are writing about CSU playing BSU, not UNLV, or am I missing something?

Out of town fan here.....

G5 fan here from MTSU(if that matters). Coming into town Nov 15th weekend and going to the SDSU game. been following UNLV all season bc of this and it has been fun see the success y'all have had. My question is what's there to do pregame by the stadium, any tailgating areas etc. looks like WSKY is the only bar/restaurant by stadium. bringing a friend from New Zealand and its his first college football game. Any info/help would be appreciated. Always down to talk some football. thanks

Well it just so happens directly across from WSKY is J-LOT parking where my group tailgates. Feel free to stop by. Can't help you with any parking but there will be plenty of food and beverages. When game gets closer I'll give you better details of where we tailgate exactly.

MTSU...

Interesting. Was discussing them a bit in another thread when all this realignment with the PAC blew up.

I floated the idea that MWC should look at adding WKU and possibly MTSU or La Tech to entice Liberty by giving them travel partners.

MWC currently looking at NIU and or Toledo.

Shoot me a direct message on here a few days before game to remind me.

What adjustments would you like to see a couple of weeks from now?

Me?

#1)Give the god damn ball to Ballungay out in the open.

This one catch per game isn’t acceptable.

#2) Sounds dumb but I would go a little more conservative. Go a little more smash mouth and run the ball. Put a couple of more offensive linemen out.

Okay and best students of all time. Good ole SDSU!!

1. Yes
2. Nah, this team isnt set up for smash mouth. Our Oline has some good players, but smash mouth isnt what Id describe...
For me:
1. Yes more TE
2. Defense needs to play tighter to the LOS. We should stop the defense that gives 5-8 yards a catch with the soft zones.
3. Hajj giving the ball up more on the option reads. He started really good at it vs Fresno... Then Syracuse read that tape and took it away and since hes kept the ball the majority of the time. You gotta pitch that ball occasionally to keep those linebackers honest.
