Sluka Redshirting and Transferring

If anyone is responsible for our ranking, it's our defense. In my opinion, Sluka had Marion's system limited because of his arm. I can't be the only one here that saw that. I think the players comments at the start of the season about all 3 QB's were spot on. Wish I knew where I could find that again.
I will give Sluka his running ability for the win verse Kansas, but on the other side he couldn't move the ball at all through the air which is the only reason UNLV had to have his running abilities win the game at the end verse Kansas. When Jackson Woodard intercepted and returned the ball to the Kansas 4 yard line, Sluka couldn't move the ball at all and had to settle for a field goal. Sluka got lucky at the end of the half to score a TD on a pass when he had totally screwed up the clock management.

In the second half this is what Sluka did:
4 plays -1 yards
3 plays -2 yards
3 plays 0 yards
Final series of plays:
18 plays for 75 yards that included a lucky fumble that was due to Sluka not protecting the ball, and it was in the hand of a half dozen Kansas players before a lucky bounce or ten put it into the hands of a UNLV player.

I put this win 90% on the back of a great defense that fixed the lack of offense by Sluka.

I just hope his replacement can actually pass the ball and doesn't ask for MORE MONEY after 3 more games!

As for Sluka - He could be a movie star!

UNLV Exploring Options After USU Joins PAC

@reagan21 @Masked_rebel @oneepstein

Something I've seen barely touched on.

MWC went into negotiations with PAC for scheduling agreement.

Now obviously the MWC would be in contact with all MWC schools to see how best to accommodate the scheduling. They likely had talks with ADs and university president's on some level along with their 'threatcaster' to formulate and agree on the stipulations of bye outs and how best to protect the conference.

If SDSU/BSU/CSU/FRESNO were already in talks with PAC about leaving and subsequent poaching, wouldn't that mean those schools were negotiating in bad faith? Like they already knew they were out but had a hand in formulating the contract. Possibly steering discussions to create an easier exit path?

They knew they were getting poached/leaving etc, but we're involved in the agreement. Seems..Shady?
(Hope that made sense)
No poop.

Moving forward

do we think this can be a rallying cry of sorts or do we need to worry about more guys feeling like Sluka?
100% rally cry from the team
Definitely. That game could have easily gone the other way like it has so many times before. Time to rally behind Hajj.
It sounds like the team had been rallying behind Hajj for weeks. They've moved on.

The Inside Story on Sluka's Transfer

Notice that they say "scholarships". Remind me when the NCAA changed the rules to allow schools to directly participate in NIL activities? Early this summer? So while we all know that schools/coaches have been quietly in the mix all along, wouldn't direct overtures be against the rules at the time?
I honestly have no clue how schools and collectives are handling this stuff. How does WSU make offers? Would a transfer agree to come in without having certainty of what the offer is? Seems unlikely.
