I don't think anyone here can for any certainty know what goes on in that guys head.
For one this latest change to the Athletic Fund is going to lose me as a donor. I donate less than the $5000 per year that is now required to give to a specific sport. Anything less than that will now go into the unrestricted athletic department giving. I don't think I want my little bit of money that I donate to go to buying toilette paper or terrible coaches.
