Finally announced a postponement today. Unbelievable it took this long to figure out that it wouldn’t be a good idea to have almost 200,000 people at the Rio from 118 different countries all jammed together touching cards, chips and sneezing all over each other in 36 days. 10 at a table in most tournaments.

Except that they have no dates, ( they said in the fall at some point ) venue or how many tournaments there will be. I guess they might try online tournament to shorten this years debacle. I hope CHYNA hacks into the online games somehow. I’d find that the icing on the cake for some reason.

Over the last few years the Rio had more then 3 known outbreaks of Noroviruis. The water system is completely contaminated it seems with complete shut offs at odd hours and hot water that’s not hot to the rooms. I believe 2 or 3 years ago on New Years Eve Holiday they had an outbreak with the hotel full.

Caesars bought the Rio for 888 million from Marnell in 2008 ? and sold it for just over 510 million last year. It’s really disgusting in the back of the house areas. The rooms haven’t been redone either. Very 1990’s retro still. The ceilings in the casino are very low so the smoke is bad. They have rooms for .02 on Tuesday’s at one point but then pile on a resort fee of 35.00, no more separate seafood buffet which was pretty good when they opened for 20.00. Now it’s like 50.00 and if you want a lobster tail it’s 20 extra and you only get 1 No wonder they just came out of bankruptcy in 2017. I’d be shocked if they don’t go BK again after all this CHINA virus STUFF

But Parking is free
