Who is visiting this weekend? 12/16

Edward Schultz per the crystal ball on 247 will commit to UNLV. He has offers from Colorado, Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado State, Florida State, Minnesota, Nevada, North Texas, Oklahoma, SJSU, Texas AM, Utah, and WKU.

He looks like a good catch based on the level of interest!

His profile on 247 shows he’s visiting this weekend too. 3* on both sites. Would be a nice pickup.

Man, I don't get this board sometimes. PAC12 is ripe to get raided and we want to wait for a Big12 invite?

The frick conference has lost more teams than the Big12?

First Loss - Nebraska and Colorado to the BIG and PAC10 in 2011
2nd Loss - Missouri and A&M to the SEC in 2012
3rd Loss - Oklahoma and Texas to the SEC in 2024

Those are arguably 6 of the top 8 programs from the formation of the Big12 in 1996, but they have been the most raided conference of the big 5 and it's not even close. It has been the least stable by a LONG stretch.

For me, this is a football decision. The Big12, even in its new alignment is going to be a better basketball conference, but football is what is going to steer the ship.

I wouldn't turn down a Big12 invite. I like the chance to get to play old rivalries like BYU and TCU, but my first choice from a travel/timezone/resources is the PAC12 every time.

The poached 12..

Even with a depleted pac 12 we would be stupid not to take the invite. Take osu, wsu, cal. Not have to travel to Wyoming, dump sjsu,

new pac 12
Osu
Wsu
Cal
UNLV
SDSU
SMU
CSU
Fresno
UTSA
Air Force
One of rice, utep, Tulsa, or North Texas
BSu - if they allow a school with crappy academics in - and no special payment arrangements

Compare that to what we have in the MWC now and how do you not jump at the offer?
