This is what I extrapolates out off the KU videos ....KU will pack the box and dare Sluka to throw. Sluka have not attempt to throw to anyone not named Ricky White on a consistent basis. Meanwhile guys like Jacob DeJesus, Balungay, and Cain have not seen much action. The KU defense will be stacking the box against the UNLV run game.
It's one of the 3 or 4 games I think the Rebels lose...

I really care a lot. But if the Rebs lose, lose upon merits, I am cool. Just dont lose base upon the team not being unprepared. This game is super important for UNLV as a program.
It's a bigger catapult game than it is a stumbling block.
Win it they get really close to top 25 and national recognition.
Lose it, there's still a lot of season left with 3 or 4 pretty high profile games.
The next two games will be at home in Allegiant stadium. Can you imagine the crowd
We either haven’t had to throw or purposefully chose not to throw. I bet we’ve used 15% of our playbook looks. If Kansas wants to double White, let them. That’s 7 in the box and 2 on white. Lots of open receivers in space. If they want to go man, they’re dead.
Defensively is where I’m scared. We should bring and disguise our blitz packages from different locations and live and die with man coverage. We need to get the ball out of Daniels hands quick. If we can tackle and not blow coverages we have a good chance of slowing them down.
It’s a tough game to win. I am expecting a loss and it’s not the end of the world if we do lose. A win would be HUGE for us, though.

I don't think UNLV can win if Sluka has to throw the ball 30+ times.
I just don't think he's that type of QB.
I could be wrong but he wasn't asked to do it at Holy Cross either.
Honestly believe Odom would love nothing more than a Sluka stat line of.
10-16 for 160 and 1 or 2 TDs
and another 60 or so on the ground.
And rest of running game around 150 yards.
Be tough vs this KU front.
Agree though if KU floats help over to White we have weapons to make them pay, but it will be on Sluka to recognize it and not put the ball in danger.
They don't need to double White. Bryant is really good... Dotson on the other side as well.. and actually I think we want Daniels to stay in pocket and throw, he's much better on the run or when they hand off the ball.. but if he's dropping back 30 times, something isn't going well for Kansas
UNLV hasn't thrown at all since they shut down the passing in both games late in the first half. UNLV has a total of 16 receptions: Ricky White III 7 Jacob De Jesus 4 Timothy Conerly 1 Kaleo Ballungay 2 Jaden Bradley 2. Hard to be consistent when they really didn't throw to anyone and Ricky White only had 11 yards total in the first game.
