**UNLV (12-3) vs Valpo (1-11) Series Thread** UNLV Sweeps Series!!

UNLV looks to the calendar and next on the list is Valparaiso. Valpo comes in with a 1-11 mark with its only win against Cal St-Northridge. Valpo has played the likes of Austin Peay, Cal St-Northridge, Cal St-Bakersfield, and Cal Poly. UNLV comes fresh off a split with #14 Arizona and a 12-3 record. The Rebels look to keep their hot start going and gain some votes in the polls this coming week.

Game #1 Friday 6:05pm
Game #2 Saturday 2:05pm
Game #3 Saturday TBD (usually 30-45 min after Game 1)

Wow, we have a great chance to 16-3 after this series. Starting to get excited about rebel baseball for the first time in my life. Do we have any games in so cal coming up? I might have to check them out in person...

April 12th UC Riverside is the only So Cal game till the tournament at SDSU the end of May....

That is what the cold weather schools have to do. Most go down to Florida and play a bunch of games and some do come west.

I have a brother in law that played at UMass and another that played at BC and they did this every year. Amazingly both brothers in laws had the opportunity to play in a NCAA regional something that anyone that has played at UNLV the past several years isnt able to say. One of my BIL's was a 10th round pick a few years back. Its amazing how little baseball they play because of the waeathergrowing up compared to those of us in good weather places.

This is a must win series for UNLV if they want any chance of receiving additional votes in the polls they will need to go 4-0. Anything less will not look good agianst a 0-4 team.....

No prob SM, was in the neighborhood watching my kid brother's football jamboree. Impressed they were able to eek out the win in G3...doubleheaders are tough, and Valpo has a little bit of firepower despite their record.

TCU has been a shell of its former self.

I would not go as far as to say that TCU is a shell of their former self. If you look at the schedule of UNLV in comparison to that of TCU, you will find that UNLV has played a much weaker schedule than TCU.

TCU has playd Baylor (1-0), Cal State Fullerton (1-2), Texas Tech (3-0), UT Rlington (1-0) who are all top 100 teams. With Baylor and Fullerton top 25. The lowest ranked team they had played was Kansas at around 107th.

UNLV has played Texas Tech (1-1), and Arizon (1-1). The remainder of the teams we have played are listed outside of the top 150 teams.

While UNLV has got much better, we have not played a schedule nearly as hard as TCU and will need an A+ game to win agianst TCU.

If they can take 2 of 3 that would be huge!!!!!
