Yes, in the CFP rankings it absolutely would. Remember, they're looking at body of work as a selection committee. If UNLV adds a top 10 road win as a conference champion with 2 P4 road wins that's a more impressive resume than Tulane losing to both it's P4 opponents. In fact I anticipate that if it's UNLV vs Boise in the final, the CFP rankings the week leading up to that will jump UNLV ahead of Tulane. Tulane is ranked based on shear volume of consecutive wins, but they have a weak resume.I like the thought, I'm just not convinced that #20ish UNLV beating #11ish BSU would jump #16ish Tulane beating theoretical 11-1 Army. Possible, just wouldn't want to bank on it
